This was our first time here. It had been recommended years ago before we moved here. We wish we had been sooner! The happy hour wine selections were the best I have had at any foodie restaurant in Portland. The red was incredible. At first we were disappointed by the menu because only ONE of the entrees didn't have meat... More

This restaurant is at the top of Portland's rapidly gentrifying Munjoy Hill. It's a small place with an eclectic menu of dishes that you won't find anywhere else in Portland. The wait staff is exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, courteous, and provides quality service. I'm a cheap skate and found the lunch entrée prices to be a little more... More

Very small space, inside seating probably 50 people max. It does have outside seating, but call ahead for reservations. Decent local beer selection, and good but not great food for the price.

As noted in other reviews this is a small neighborhood restaurant. I had two small plates - the mussles and the daily ragu pasta and they were more than enough. My wife had the pressed chicken (really a large portion - we could have shared). Foof all well prepared and tasty. Our bottle of Pino Grigio was well priced and... More

A bit of a walk from the port. Blue Spoon is in the East End neighborhood. Smallish place, somewhat limited choices, and well prepared. Seafood stew with mussels was unique and toothsome. Others had Hake which was also very good. My big memory will be the Bissel Bros. Lux rye ale they had on tap.

This very small restaurant on Congress serves up some very good food. Given the size of this space a reservation is a must. Everyone's meals were great - from the crostini with the awesome bacon to the very moist and flavorful brick pressed chicken to the flaky hake. The waitress was very professional and she kept things moving in an... More

Worst meal I have had in years!!! Mushroom app is salty, sloppy, we had to ask for bread to even try to eat it. Blue cheese toast, messy, scallops, 3 medium sized for $13, tasted fishy, mussels were the worst, in water, no broth, no flavor. Food is slow, staff show no teamwork, several times servers walked past our table... More

The Blue Spoon is located just up the street from the Eastern Promenade. The food quality is outstanding. Service is very professional. The Owner is extremely personable and enjoys interacting with his clients. Parking is on the street and is at a premium near the restaurant. There is a sit-down bar with less than a half-dozen stools. Tables are mixed... More

I've walked by this place many a time and finally decided it was time to check it out! Reservations are recommended, as there is a small seating area, including 3 outdoor tables in front. Be aware ahead of time that the indoor space is *very* cozy which is why I was grateful for a beautiful summer evening to enjoy less... More

Was visiting Portland, a friend just off Congress street who just moved in. We walked around the corner from their residence and had a wonderful dining experience outside under the stars. Wait staff is very informative and polished. We had creamed mushrooms and seared scallops with turnips for starters. We had fresh pasta pork shoulder ragout and the ribeye steak... More
