My husband and I visited 555 on a Saturday night (reservations needed!). It was filled to capacity but we were seated immediately, right on time. From start to finish this was a quality experience. The ambiance is great - white tablecloths and nice settings, and they get it right on the noise level so that, despite the number of guests,... More

We chose to celebrate our anniversary here and were seated at a lovely table right in a window alcove. As we adjusted our chairs, we noticed the table wobbled. A server was there instantly, before we could even look for one, and leveled the table. The service was that stellar throughout the meal. We chose the seven course tasting menu... More

Very nice restaurant. Atmosphere was great, not too loud. Staff was very attentive and capable. Food was delicious. 3 of us had the hanger steak and fries. 1 order of the salmon. All cooked perfectly. Drinks were delicious. We split two carrot cakes. I was kind of wishing for more of that! A little too small to share. I think... More

The food of course was excellent. We picked a couple of small plates and one entree. In restospect we might have chosen the 5 course tasting menu ($65) and shared it (there is also a 7 course chefs choise tasting menu for $95). The waiter was very friendly and eager to share his impressions of Portland and the neighborhood. Clearly... More

This is a beautiful, modern, quiet restaurant with outstanding food and service. I really enjoyed my Caesar salad, one of the best iterations of that dish I've ever eaten, and my remarkable lobster mac and cheese entree. My glass of Williamette Valley pinot noir was wonderful too.

We were looking for a special place to celebrate our anniversary, so my husband made a reservation at 555. They asked if we were celebrating a special occasion when he made the reservation, so he told them it was our 19th Anniversary. When we arrived, we were seated at a table by the window and there was a lovely "Happy... More

Stopped in here after an unsuccessful attempt to be seated at a restaurant that was more highly rated. And how lucky were we! Had delightful cocktails and appetizers, followed by a wonderful meal and wine, served by professionals. The atmosphere was romantic and candlelit, yet without pretense. I'd spend my money here again any day.

Great food and service! they have a tasting menu which one of the members of our party tried and enjoyed very much...varied menu with something for everyone. It is definitely fine dining with the prices to match. So the expectations are also higher but they didn't disappoint. Recommend!

This place seems great but it feels overcrowded like a fire hazard at times. This made it hard to enjoy and embrace the experience...Maybe next time.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience. I am so sorry you felt that it was overcrowded. We would love to make sure other guests never feel that way in the future. To be honest, that is not feedback that we have received in the past. I am hoping that you can email... More
