After a walk around the Eastern Promenade to take in the stunning water views, head up Congress street. A up hill climb and mid way you will see a corner hilltop coffee shop. Friendly staff and much locals, great place to sit, rest the feet and enjoy a great cup of brew. If there during the holidays like we are... More

The cappuccinos were on par and the homemade enchiladas were fantastic. If you have the dog with you they have a giving post out front for the canines and a water bowl. Overall it's a real good spot.

Stopped in for a mocha during a brief thunderstorm. Beverage was great, but they were closing early and we had to leave less than 10 min after walking in the door!

One morning in Portland we e took a walk from Old Port to the famous Eastern Promenade - a lovely way to spend a sunny morning in summer - and then felt a hankering for a cup of seriously good coffee with a cookie on the side. Also a restroom, to be frank. Then we saw Hilltop and stopped in.... More

Are you kidding me ? Its 2016 people are busy and can't just hang up to order a cappuccino. Are we not allowed to multitask ? So today 5/25 at 3pm the blond barista with glasses ignores me and then taps her finger on the tiny picture of uncle sam next to the register that says something about refusing customers... More

We live in the neighborhood so we are regulars here. Coffee, pastry, atmosphere all very good - it's what keeps us coming back. But come on folks lose the attitude. Is it too much to ask to be greeted w/ a smile .... or a simple thank you?! Particularly unimpressed this morning.

Very cool coffee shop just east of downtown. Easy and free street parking and nice views from the hilltop. Coffee was awesome and service friendly. They had benches out front for street watching as well. Also, free wifi with no password hassle.

Stopped in for a morning latte. Great coffee and terrific atmosphere. We scored the comfy leather chairs, but plenty of folks were doing the ubiquitous iMac-ing with their morning joe.

First and foremost it is the scones that make this place just about my favorite place for breakfast in Portland. The scones are never the same - I especially love the ones with ginger bits, but I've not had any flavor I did not think was great. The muffins are also great, especially raspberry! And it is a good place... More

This a cute and local coffee shop. We came here for breakfast. They had some muffins, donuts and bagels. We had bagels with cream cheese and latte coffee in mugs. They were good. My friend didn't enjoy the homemade veggie cream cheese. Nice staff.
