We've dined at Bruno's many times over the years and have always been quite pleased. The food has always been very good and service is friendly. The owner has always been on-site when we've eaten here, which speaks volumes about his care for his food and customer service. Prices are definitely in line for a restaurant of this caliber. There's... More

We met friends at Bruno's for lunch. The restaurant seems to be a gathering place for senior citizens at lunch time. The waitress was friendly and willing to give recommendations. Most of our party were very satisfied with their meals although I found my scallops were served with sauce that was a little thick and salty. The salads were very... More

I met a gf for dinner and had a wonderful time. Food is mind boggling good. Bruno was gracious and kind. He made me feel like I had been coming for years. However the misogynist knuckleheads I had to listen to around me in the tavern was less than pleasant. It's clear these guys are regulars as they knew plenty... More

Bruno's offers a high quality of Italian food. Service is very slow, however. We waited 45 minutes after our order was taken before our meals were presented. Located off of Allen Avenue, parking is no problem. The restaurant itself is adorned with photos dating back to the 60's and 70's. The bar side, separate from the dining area, is spacious.... More

Needed food later on a Friday night - but were struggling to find something not a national chain. Bruno's came to mind and we were not disappointed - walked in late but were accommodated, food was good and we were not rushed out. Would return again earlier and spend some time.

We went to a party here. The prices were VERY high. I ordered stir fry which had too many veggies in it. I love veggies, but there were so many peppers. It wasn't as good as i expected. The prices were way too much, i thought. We paid over $60 for our dinner!!! Won't be back to that place!! The... More

By far and away, the best Italian food in Portland, not even close. You will not find better veal nor chicken parm....guaranteed. Two dining options, quieter dining room or the quite lively tavern with multiple televisions.

Bruno's is a gem of an Italian Restaurant. The food is delicious - special note should be made of the Pasta e Foliage soup which is the best I've ever tasted. Also noteworthy is the veal parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana and lasagna. This is classic Italian fare in a pleasant family style atmosphere. Waitstaff is prompt and pleasant and the owner's... More

The title pretty much says it all. Basic Italian food....decently prepared and certainly adequate for the price but the level of service more than compensates for any lack in the food. I'd def go back.

We are family and they treated us as part of their family. Want to eat authentic Italian food & save the plane fare to Italy ? Come here. This was my father, Barber Adam Romano’s ( Stevens Avenue for years) , favorite restaurant. I was born in Portland but USMC called me away and I have been in California past... More

Description
Bruno's is a casual family run restaurant serving everything from steak sandwiches to homemade pastas. Customers can enjoy lunch or dinner in our dining room with an open kitchen, or you can also choose from our full menu in our tavern side complete with 10 TV's and varied seating. Outside seating is available on our deck or newly built patio. We also have a new banquet room that can accomidate anything from weddings to business meetings; outside catering is available too. Bruno's has been serving the people of greater Portland for over 30 years. We attribute most of our success to our strong flow of regular customers who return week after week to get the same excellent service and delicious food as their last visit.
