Great food, fantastic staff! Can't wait to come back! Banana pancakes were amazing. Coffee was wonderful and they were so great to keep checking on us.

Cash only. Good old fashioned diner and people were pretty awesome. Food was good. It was super hot in there but I am not sure if the air was out or what. Normally a bit of a wait but worth it. Try their muffins.

We decided to go to Marcy 's diner the first day we were in Portland!! When we arrived there was a line so we got on the list!! The place is very small !! The hostess said we have seats at the counter, so we said ok! We were seated right in front in stove where the cooks were cooking!... More

We stopped in for breakfast and found this to be a very lively little place. The music was playing and the servers were very upbeat and friendly. They truly made us feel like we were the same as the many locals who frequent here. The food was excellent and pricing very reasonable. I would definitely recommend.

We originally went here because it was near our hotel. The place is small, but were pleasantly surprised at the friendly service and excellent food. We shared a home-made raspberry muffin after we ate and it was delicious. I would go again for sure!

We recently visited Portland, Maine and knew of Marcy's diner from a review in The Portland Phoenix newspaper. Don't go if you are looking for a fancy sit-down restaurant. This is an old-fashioned diner that serves basic, good, no-frills food; closed on Tuesdays. Very small seating area, expect a 30-45 minute wait to get in and seated--food then comes pretty... More

We tried Marcy's Diner for breakfast this morning. The very small DR was still packed at 9:45am and there was a 30 minute waiting list with people lined up on the street. Once we were seated we enjoyed attentive service and a very good breakfast. The music was loud and the place a beehive of activity, which we found to... More

Busy place with a great vibe. Muffins were out of this world, freshly baked. hash browns couldn't be better and sausages were awesome. They know how to turn their tables, but you need patience. As lactose challenged, I had a turkey sandwich which was outstanding.

Place had radio blaring, when we asked if it could be lowered, we were told to see the owner. We simply said, no thanks, we won't be back.

First off, the staff is unbelievably fun, warm, and efficient. The restaurant is small so expect a line. Don't worry though, they get you in and out smoothly, without feeling rushed. As you can see from my pic, I ordered the blueberry pancakes. Light fluffy, plump sweet ME blueberries. BONUS...real maple syrup! The BEST I've ever had. The place has... More
