We felt it fortunate to get a 6:30pm reservation on a Saturday, since we were staying a couple doors down at the Hilton Garden Inn. The inside is very cool looking, with lots of space and natural light. There are a lot of smooth surfaces...though, so the acoustics were not great. It really wasn’t that crowded, but we had a hard time hearing each other from across the table. The restaurants in Portland are phenomenal, so compared to our other meals, this was just ok. I had a lobster pasta dish that was somewhat bland and quite oily. My girlfriend had the scallops, which came with a risotto that was also bland, and big mushrooms which just sort of seemed out of place. The scallops themselves were good though. Even by Portland standards, the dinner was pricey, and as I said, was just ok. I think it’s very possible to have a great experience here, we just didn’t on this particular day. The in-house sommelier, Justin, is really great though. He checked on our table and was very friendly. Overall, I don’t know that we’d return here on our next trip, just due to finding several other spots that we were much happier with.More

Kyle, the bartender, was fantastic! The general manager was friendly and fun to talk to. We had appetizers and they were delicious. The atmosphere is very nice. We will definitely return to this restaurant when we return to Portland!

Had a late lunch/early dinner with the family here yesterday. The restaurant was closed so they seated us in the bar. Host + server were both awesome, nice beer and wine list. Food was well prepared and tasty but I wouldn't say anything really special....Despite how the pictures may look, the portions were on the smaller side. Lobster rolls good but lobster meat only on the top of the roll and the fish tacos were the same. Fish + chips 3 very small pieces. Honestly, we came home an hour later and all had a snack! Otherwise, a nice place.More

Lovely evening spent here with kids for my husband's birthday. Service was excellent and the food was great. Waiter did great with the changes we requested (kids 🙄) and everything was delicious.

The ambience was elegant but comfortable. The menu choices many. My husband and I chose the simple fish (grilled with no sauces etc) which are options on the menu. Dinner and drinks were great.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. We made a reservation and indicated it as such. The hostess greeted us and acknowledged the special occasion. After being seated, the General Manager came over to wish us a Happy Anniversary and offered us complimentary glass...of Prosecco! The server was awesome - she was very genuine and real. My husband got the Falafel Sandwich with Truffle Fries. THESE WERE THE BEST DAMN TRUFFLE FRIES WE HAVE EVER HAD. I got the Lazy Lobster Dinner which was amazing, but I wish I had got the lobster roll so I could have had truffle fries of my own! A couple more rounds of Prosecco - I got the pomegranate mimosa which was the perfect amount of sweet. We were offered dessert but we wanted to try another place so the server and general manager gave us great recommendations - both offered up Bar of Chocolate which was fantastic and I will also leave a review for them. The server brought our check but emphatically told us to take our time. We sat for a while longer chatting and we were not interrupted or felt like they needed to turn the table. On our way out the manager came over again to thank us for choosing them to celebrate our anniversary. The staff really made it feel like a special occasion!More

Dinner last night was very good. We had reservations for 8pm and arrived at 7pm and asked to have a drink at the bar first. There was room, it wasn’t crowded, but the hostess was not nice and said no, come back at the time...of your reservation. Okay…. We came back and we’re seated immediately. Our server was so sweet and very attentive. We started with the mussels for an appetizer and then had the lazy lobster and halibut for entrees. Everything was delicious. Dessert was good, I can’t remember what it was though. Not sure why the hostess wouldn’t let us have a drink at the bar before dinner, but other than that, all was good.More

Food and service was excellent. We liked how the tables were spread out so you weren't on top of nearby patrons. Great location, prices standard for the area. We got raw oysters, tuna tartare, crab cakes, seared scallops, and lazy lobster. All were fantastic and...great portion sizes.More

We took a day trip to Portland and picked this restaurant because it had a fairly diverse menu and was close to the water. The food was served quickly and the service was terrific. They have an extensive wine and beer selection. Good options for...the non-fish lover.More

I will rate it 3.5/5 . The place was in tha main downtown Portland main. It was indoor dining. We ordered Halibut plate, New York steak, Grilled salmon plate , twin lobster plate plus Caesar salad with white anchovies and clam chowder. For the price...we paid and gratuity of $46 added right away the food was average. Nothing special . No food presentation that diner will say wow. I would pay the price if is worthy but this place was a no. Plain, bland and lack of color. The steak tasted great. The scallop and salmon were cooked well but my Caesar salad nothing special. I can find in any ordinary place. I’ll try the place near the port next time .More

Spent an afternoon in Portland and had a fabulous lunch here. Really loved everything. We had the clam chowder (thick, flavorful and lots of clams), mussels (broth was so flavorful), hummus and raw clams to start. All were great. For our main, we had the...falafel, chicken sandwich and cold lobster. Again, everything was delish! Highly recommend. Would come back.More

Dined here in Oct '17 and was not impressed. Decided to try it again on our latest trip to ME and were quite impressed with the significant improvement in all aspects of the dining experience. Service (Kirsten) was terrific--helpful, knowledgeable, fast attentive and quietly efficient....Food was outstanding--- app of mussels in a white wine broth were tender and very tasty with toasted breads to dip in the delicious broth. The twin lazy lobsters were cracked and picked and the meat placed in a delicious lemony butter sauce. They were accompanied by fresh crisp green beans and tasty roasted potatoes. The Astrolabe Sauvignon Blanc (FR) was perfect. Kristen recommended the pistachio creme brulee and it was delectable and a fitting finish to an outstanding dining experience.More
