So many places to eat in Portland, so do not waste your time or money here. Way too pretentious...I had the lobster with linguini, butter and garlic. Never would have thought you could mess up something that simple, but they did. The lobster was flavorless, watered down...such a disappointment, plus it was incredibly EXPENSIVE. Like I said, go somewhere else.

A classic Portland experience today. One of the original places to put Portland on the foodie map and still going strong. Just like any of Portland's high end eateries, its got great ambiance and not inexpensive prices. In this case it's a old warehouse building and looks and feels like one. Many dishes are served in beat up frying pans... More

We visited Street and Company last night - reservations are highly recommended even though they do save 1/3 of their tables for walk-ins. We did have a reservation and so there was no waiting; they seated us immediately. The vibe is lively and fun; lots of small and larger groups having fun. Service was just right - very attentive without... More

I must admit I'm not the most enthusiastic sea foodie... But I do like good food - regardless of its biological affiliation (; The mussels were great (!), and the oysters... well - that was my first time. and I kinda liked it, but really - don't take my word for it. For the life of me, I can't recall... More

Nice place, with good ambience. Specializes in seafood, including lobster. Not the best lobster I've had in my life. But good and reasonably priced.

Let me start by saying our food and service was very good. The menu was limited but they also offered daily specials. I ordered the Maine crab salad and was SHOCKED at how small it was for $14!!! It was a tiny side salad consisting of 5 bites total!!! Delicious but a total letdown in quantity. My husbands fish was... More

We were some of the lucky few who arrived early without a reservation and were seated outside(the inside was a bit too warm and stuffy on this hot evening anyway) Everything we tried was wonderful but the Scallops Pernod served in the pan are probably the best I've ever had and certainly enough for two with 12 large sea scallops!... After a number of years of not going, we went for dinner last night. Wow! I wish we had not left it so long. As we remembered, the menu was interesting with a flair for really nicely prepared seafood. We started with the pate appetizer and the blue cheese with raspberry jam appetizer - both really good! We then had... More

Wow - what a wonderful find. Terrific ambiance - an old rehabbed brick building on a cobblestone street, rustic casual appearance inside, comfortable energy, attentive pleasant service. Most important? Great food all around. While we had intended on having the lobster Diablo that everyone raves about, the whole fish specials were just too enticing to pass up - and we... More

The service and food were excellent. I had one of the daily specials (clams, shrimp, haddock and mussels in a tomato sauce w/saffron) and my husband had the salmon. Both were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return.
