This is more a mix of Thai and American. The atmosphere is very warm and a good escape from Congress Street. Try the duck dishes. They are incredible and not overdone at all. The Pad Thai or noodle bowls have a very interesting twist on traditional Thai. Their sister restaurant is the Green Elephant, also on Congress, for a Thai... More

We arrived and Matthew - the host was very effieicent and gracious. We ended up waiting quite a bit longer but more because the gaggle of ladies at the table we were going to sit at, really enjoyed Boda too. I sort of wish they didn't enjoy it so much, but I can understand why. Most importantly, Matthew was kind... More

I cannot say enough good things about this Thai restaurant other than you will NOT be disappointed. They take a variety of flavors and blend them into the perfect bite sized morsels for appetizers. In particular, the Miang Kum Som-Oh, which was served on individual appetizer spoons. It was nothing short of amazing. My husband raved about the quail eggs.... More

Dropped into Boda just as they opened. They weren't too busy but filled up very quickly. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple beers from their (decent) craft beer selection. We also ordered some Thai wings with pickled daikon and carrots. We ordered hot and they weren't too spicy at all. I would easily go up to 911... More

The Buddha would LOVE Boda, a very hip Thai restaurant on Congress Street removed from the Old Port which, this past week was mobbed due to the influx of those obscene cruise ships that dump 2-3 thousand people in the area. Boda sits around a mile away from this hectic area and the food is great, the beer and wine... More

Boda has been on the Portland food scene for many years now. Recently went on a "date" with my husband and the server gave us the best seat in the house, we must have looked in need of a night out?! The drink order was taken promptly so we settled in right away. Service was very attentive and timely. The... More

We sat at the bar and had lobster chips, scallop skewers and pork satay to start a night out. The lobster chips were just okay but the sweet chili sauce they were served with was really good! Enjoyed both sets of skewers. The host was nice enough to make space for us at the bar so we could sit together.... More

I went here on Saturday night. I have lived in Portland for quite some time and this has been on my "need to visit" list for most of that time--I just haven't made it. We ended up going while the late night menu was available and we got: Kanom-krok Quail Eggs seasoned with soy sauce and scallions Brussels Sprouts fried... More

We had a great dinner at the Boda. We shared the mussels which were delicious. A must try. We had the shrimp skewers, also very nice. Each of our entrees were perfect as was the atmosphere. Server very attentive and helpful.

This is one of the best Thai restaurant in Maine! The specials are often times worth getting. The food is always freshly made, not--as my husband and I found--heated up in a microwave or an oven. The wait staff are always friendly and accomodating. All in all, it's a very darling and casual place. We'll keep on coming back for... More
