Over the top 30th anniversary evening. From the waitress to the variety of menu selections to the flavors of food. This was wonderful celebration. Leave time to enjoy your meal, it will be a few hours but well worth it.

From the chef's surprise tasty treat to start the meal to the impecable service and the delicious food. My two favorite entrees are the crispy duck (including deboned dark meat!) with fennel and cherry salad and the Parpadelle simmered in stew of lamb and vegetables. Though I have had lobster a lot this summer, this chef's creation was the finest... More

The general manager was fantastic, the waitstaff were genuine, friendly, funny, and incredibly well-informed, and the food was perfect. I loved every bite. It's a small dining room, very elegant and comfortable, and the menu was filled with great choices.

We wanted a good restaurant located near the Portland Museum of Art (Back Bay Grill is 6 blocks away). The atmosphere was elegant, the service attentive and the food is close to great. Menu items that received the most compliments include: home-made gravlax, foie gras, cauliflower soup, filet mignon, agnolotti and caramel ice cream with lace cookies. A very enjoyable... More

We ate here several years ago, and made it a point to visit again this year. The restaurant is a bit out of the way, but worth the trip. The staff is very friendly and well trained in making you feel comfortable. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and the wine that we selected. The food was prepared... More

This is, hands-down, the best spot for a lovely upscale dinner in Portland! The restaurant is not large (be sure to make reservations) but the size is perfect, with the high ceilings, well-spaced tables and ambient jazz music. The food is to die for - the lobster-leek risotto was the best risotto I've ever had! Be sure to save room... More

My wife and I had a very good meal - duck for me and lobster risotto for her. Good service and very attentive staff. The only drawback is that the restaurant is in a seedy area of town - SAFE but kind of rundown, as compared with the rest of Portland. But don't let that stop you from going!

My wife and I enjoyed dinner a couple of nights ago. We had lunch on the waterfront and decided to have dinner off the busy and congested waterfront. We checked websites and decided to have dinner based on the menu and location. We were not disappointed. We called earlier in the day to check that the daily menu would include... More
