Being from Georgia, DiMillo's was recommended back a few years ago so we make it a point to stop in. Lobster was on the list and was good but I must say that we had better lobster in Maine. And DiMillo's was the priciest for...More

DiMillos is actually an old ferry that was converted into a "floating restaurant" years ago. Our service was excellent, we ate early and walked in without reservations and we greatly warmly.

Stopped in here for a relaxing lunch with a view of the water. This is actually a boat on the water....we ate in the bar/lounge. Service was great and food was pretty good.

Local hotel worker here! The posts referencing a tourist trap are spot on, I can name multiple place where I can get great lobster fresher and cheaper than Dimillo's including J's, Boone's, Portland Lobster Co. (Summer). You pay for eating on a boat, non personal...More

This restaurant is frequented by locals and boat owners when they want fresh seafood at a reasonable price. DiMillos is actually an old ferry that was converted into a "floating restaurant" years ago. Contrary to some of these reviews, it is not a tourist trap...More

Service a little slow but we weren’t in a hurry-Fish sandwich was fresh and delicious. Lobster bisque was loaded and tasty. Validated parking in their lot was a plus. Good take for lunch.

we asked our hotel concierge what she suggested for a traditional lobster meal in portland. We went. The location is a big boat on the wharf. Our server was great. We started with the oysters. They were great. We had two good salads. We ordered...More

We decided to eat here because there was parking and we wanted a seafood meal. Went for lunch on a Saturday. It was very busy even after 1pm. Food was very good. I had the lunch seafood sampler and my husband had the special of...More

Someone recommended this to us, unsuspecting we went thinking it was really going to be great. The location, downtown on the wharf in Portland was the only good thing about it. We had very slow, inept service. After an hour and one half we left...More

The food is good, but the price is not justified. A lemonade is $5 for which we didn't even get a refill. The lobster is, compared to the competition, also too expensive. For such a price level I would expect an amouse-bouche or at least...More

Portland Maine is a premiere beer city. The local beer is to die for. I would recommend taking a break from the bland and try some real beer!

Our restaurant actually floats, and because it is surrounded by water, every table offers spectacular views of Portland Harbor. Our outside decks are great spots to see the sights while enjoying a meal or cocktail. Maine lobster is what we do here and we do it better than anyone.
