Almost Unbearably Delicious!

The best lobster roll and lobster stew I’ve found in a city where lobster is on every menu. At Fisherman’s Grill, the noble crustacean is treated with great respect. Not overcooked. Carefully cut. The lobster stew is made to order. And lobster rolls may be ordered with mayo or melted butter. Three... read more

I always hate writing negative reviews especially for a place I once wrote a very positive one. But here I go. We were really excited to return to Fishermen's Grill on our recent trip to Portland. In fact, our plane landed just before lunchtime, so we drove there first thing. Their website and the sign on the front door said... More

It's hard to find a good lobster roll off season. But that's what we found at Fishermen's Grill. Out of the hustle and bustle of the port area, in a little hole in the wall that if you didn't know the great reviews, you might take a look at the place and keep walking. I love places like this! There... More

Best tasting lobster, nice big fresh and tasty pieces! We all had the mini roll and clam chowder. Plan on eating outside since there's only a few tables inside. We waited almost 40min for our food but it was worth it!

Simply the best tasting lobster we had on our New England states trip!! Portions are massive. You can share easily. They also even had a better-quality salad than most nicer-dining places. Agreed, it's off the beaten path a little & the area could be better (but it's not bad) and it looks like a whole-in-the-wall place, but appearances aren't everything.... More

Fishermen's Grill is a small out of the way location - away from the waterfront area and main tourist drag. We went there based on reviews on Trip Advisor. We drove past it several times as it is that small and a little back from the road. There are weird signs out front and on the door that made me... More

This was just a quick stop for dinner and, boy, was it great! I had the clams and they were outstanding! Talked with the owner and other diners and played with the owner's dog...great time!!! Thanks for suggesting the homemade whoopie pie!!!

Most excellent, no frills but tasty sea food.. A few tables in side, mostly outside seating. Best Haddock of our New England trip. Lots of lobster on the lobster roll. we will most definitely return!

I was excited to eat here after reading great reviews. I found online that they opened at noon. When I got to the restaurant at noon there was a sign on the door that said "be back at 12:30". I waited until 12:30 and they had not opened. I waited some more until 1pm and they still had not opened.... More

We arrived mid day and had a lobster sandwich and fried clams. We also shared some clam chowder. The seafood was very fresh and quite delicious. I think the tables outside could have been cleaner. Not sure if they were wiped down that day never mind between customers . It is truly a hole in the wall but worth going... More
