We have visited Hot Suppa almost every time we have visited Portland. We almost invariably have to wait for a table in this popular eatery and had found it worth the wait. This trip while not disappointing we didn't find it quite as memorable, mot...More

This was an unexpected place to find authentic southern home cooking in downtown Portland Maine. First, a little warning. This is not a big place on the inside. If my memory serves me correctly there are probably 10 booths that can seat our people and...More

From start to finish absolutely THE BEST breakfast experience ever: bar none. The hostess was welcoming, the server was beyond sweet, attentive and knowledgeable. Mimosas were delicious. Mocha latte and maple latte both exquisite and piping hot. But the food.....the GLORIOUS Food! If this is...More

They put us on their “patio” (gravel area behind the kitchen), where we froze because their “heaters” were either ineffective or not functioning. Food was good.

You will most likely have a wait if you go for breakfast. Do not let that discourage you. The wait is so well worth it. First, the service was spot on. Server was attentive but not overbearing. Always available when needed. But the real reason...More

Parking is a challenge. There is no lot for the restaurant. Depending on what time I day we go for dinner, we often have found a spot out front, or may park on a side street. The restaurant is worth it, so we would even park... More

Description
The menu at Hot Suppa is all made from scratch from quality ingredients; local goods are used whenever possible. Our renowned breakfast and lunch are served seven days a week, so you can get that corned beef hash fix whenever you’re jonesing. Dinner is available five nights a week, featuring our favorite dishes, like fried chicken & a waffle,Pulled Pork Mac n' cheese, falafel salad, and Maine oysters on the half shell. We offer a full bar service if you care to relax into the evening with a Porch Swing cocktail, or recover in the morning with a spicy Bloody Mary or cold draft beer.
