Our innkeepers recommended this little gem and I was blown away by the pimento cheese, fried green tomato BLT. I usually only eat half a sandwich but I devoured this! Just the right amount of "heat " and the sour dough bread was the perfect base. I had the Maine ice tea and it was just right, not too sweet.... More

My wife and I went on a Friday evening around 6:30 PM. Seating was available. I hadn't been back for about 7 years; it has changed! This was our first dinner there. The place is cozy and doesn't seat many inside. And it's one of those places that it's hard to have a conversation in without speaking loudly. We ordered... More

AWESOME BREAKFAST-This is one of those hidden gems in the city worth the walk from the Portland Hotel. We really appreciated the GF cornbread, pure maple syrup tea, wonderful omelet with veggies and the red bean burrito! Presentation, atmosphere & service was Great! We'd definetly go back when in the area. A little dissapointed some sides were extra. This is... More

My wife is a vegetarian because she is allergic to small amounts of meat. Even if eggs are cooked on the same griddle or if the same spatula is used to flip a pancake and sausage. The waitress at Hot Suppa was very nice. She warned us that the home fries could be contaminated. So my wife avoided those and... More

I have eaten here before when visiting, and really looked forward to my return. The breakfast menu is wonderful although it is important to get here early--Monday morning at 9:30 AM there was a line! I had biscuits and gravy with eggs and grits. Not only was every flavor perfect, it filled me up so I did not have to... More

Funky little place near the Portland Museum of Art. Got a Cuban sandwich which was very good including the pickles on the side. Wife got a fried green tomato BLT which she enjoyed.

Great start--some fancy fruit for the baby, yummy kombucha, but nitro coffee not special. Great food--until finding beef in my veggie omelette after asking specifically how grills were set up:-(. Overall nice presentation and friendly staff, but get your veggie act together a little more. Very sad wanted to love it.

Had breakfast there again, as we usually do when visiting Portland. Food and service both were excellent.

This place is so hot that we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but it was worth it! Breakfast and lunch menus were both available at lunch time so I was able to sample their lovely French scrambled eggs with cheese, tomatoes, and peppers (almost fluffy) with a side of cole slaw and some sourdough toast. We... More

Description
The menu at Hot Suppa is all made from scratch from quality ingredients; local goods are used whenever possible. Our renowned breakfast and lunch are served seven days a week, so you can get that corned beef hash fix whenever you’re jonesing. Dinner is available five nights a week, featuring our favorite dishes, like fried chicken & a waffle, falafel salad, and Maine oysters on the half shell. We offer a full bar service if you care to relax into the evening with a Porch Swing cocktail, or recover in the morning with a spicy Bloody Mary or cold draft beer.
