This was one of the recommended restaurants on a sheet provided by the B & B we stayed in. It was close to our B & B and after checking out a couple of other places in the area, we decided to give it a try. We were seated immediately which was great because the place really started to fill... More

You can't tell people 30 minutes for a table and then its really 70! They won't come back. Seriously - it;s breakfast people! This is a really mismanaged restaurant. The hostesses do not have a clue. Hit one of the many bakeries in town, grab a cup of coffee and sit by the water or ride one of the many ferries.... More

It was worth walking a mile in the rain to have breakfast in this funky restaurant. The coffee was perfect, the orange juice fresh and the big selection of breakfast dishes was unique. The bright eclectic paintings by a local artist added to the atmosphere. Loved the place, the service and the food.

Best fried chicken I've ever had. The service was a little slow but it wasn't a major issue. My wife also had fried chicken and had the same opin8on as I. Great poutine too.

Here's the drill: get here early, or be ready to wait, but it's well worth it. My husband, son and I all got the same meal: spicy shrimp eggs benedict with bacon over fried grits. It. Was. Stupendous!

I needed a meal to sustain me for many hours, and it did; grits with integrity, ditto bread, simple but delicious eggs w/feta and mushrooms. Great Bloody Mary (eat the garnish!). Nice server-- thank you, Kristen.

We were looking for something different! We pulled up Portland restaurants and this came up at the top of the list. We were intrigued. It is a sweet little place that has a little New Orleans vibe. My husband knew immediately he was ordering the the cheese grits and shrimp and I ordered fried chicken and waffles. While we waited... More

French style omelette was delicious. We were told an hour wait but it ended up being only 30 minutes.

I absolutely love their breakfast here. Food here was so delicious that I came here twice during our 4 day stay in Portland. The restaurant is not very big so they get filled up fast, so try to come earlier and make sure you minimize the wait time.

Description
The menu at Hot Suppa is all made from scratch from quality ingredients; local goods are used whenever possible. Our renowned breakfast and lunch are served seven days a week, so you can get that corned beef hash fix whenever you’re jonesing. Dinner is available five nights a week, featuring our favorite dishes, like fried chicken & a waffle, falafel salad, and Maine oysters on the half shell. We offer a full bar service if you care to relax into the evening with a Porch Swing cocktail, or recover in the morning with a spicy Bloody Mary or cold draft beer.
