We have tried to go to Hot Suppa several times but found a line so didn't wait. Last week, though, we went for an early dinner and found no crowd. We were there in time for Happy Hour $1 oysters so we started with them. The oysters were fresh and very good. We both had the shrimp and grits which... More

I've seen the future of oysters......and they live....at Hot Suppa! Okay, so that was a complete and total riff on the famous Jon Landau/Springsteen thing, but I am not kidding in that if you are in Portland, and you're looking for an Oyster experience....no less in the city of Oysters....well....they live on Congress Street. That..is really just the beginning of... More

I haven't had fried green tomatoes and grits in years! This was absolutely delish!! The sliced fruit salad was excellent as well. The code on the bathroom door was a little weird but the food is excellent.

It was suggested I try Hot Suppa by a local when I came to visit. Totally worth it. The food was incredible and the small atmosphere was not too crowded. Wait staff friendly and kind. I must come back for dinner sometime! 5⭐️

Great breakfast, longish wait (49 minutes) to be seated. Great Irish coffee and 3 egg scramble with chèvre & Carmelized onion. Conveniently located a short walk from Westin a Hotel. We've visited this breakfast place 2 yrs Ina row. I wouldn't consider waiting this long with children.

Four of us recently went to dinner around 530 pm on a Sat. Restaurant does not have parking so husbands dropped us off to get a table while they searched for parking. There were 4 empty tables in the restaurant when we arrived. Hostess wouldn't seat us until all 4 of us present, even though we told her our husband's... More

Enjoyed a delicious breakfast and it was worth the wait. The wait staff was friendly and kept my coffee mug full! The ambience is cozy and the walls have set for sale which is a nice touch.

Hot Suppa is the real deal. We arrived on a Tuesday around 9:30a and there was a line out the door! Its worth the wait. I got a hot apple cider that was delicious. Also tried one of the specials featuring butternut squash rice hash - very savory but a different take on breakfast. Perfect for a chilly fall day.... More

When looking for a "different" place to go in Portland, this is the place to go. Hot Suppa's Southern-inspired cuisine is fantastic! Having a window seat along Congress Street at this place means you'll have a delightful meal full of deliciousness. Service was quick and impeccable with an eclectic mix of brews and cocktails. The chicken & waffles and falafel... More

Good food in a unique atmosphere with lots of local artwork on the walls., Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all very tasty. Late am breakfast was our most recent fare. Corned Beef Hash was outstanding and the hash browns are the best.

Description
The menu at Hot Suppa is all made from scratch from quality ingredients; local goods are used whenever possible. Our renowned breakfast and lunch are served seven days a week, so you can get that corned beef hash fix whenever you’re jonesing. Dinner is available five nights a week, featuring our favorite dishes, like fried chicken & a waffle, falafel salad, and Maine oysters on the half shell. We offer a full bar service if you care to relax into the evening with a Porch Swing cocktail, or recover in the morning with a spicy Bloody Mary or cold draft beer.
