Ate there twice with our kids. Foremost, we are foodies and I was really looking for something fresh, not fried, not off a food service truck. And wow did we love it! Fresh, homemade, authentic. Huge huge portions. Friendly staff who were neither intimidated or irritated by our kids. Gelato, too! You Have to climb some stairs so a little... More

I am not sure how long they have been serving breakfast but I am glad we found it. The breakfast menu was mostly egg dishes but there was something for everyone. Everything had some sort of Italian flavoring and was very good. We had scrambled eggs, omelettes and poached eggs and we all left happy. Sides included Pancetta or sausage... More

We make it a point to eat at Caffe Prego everytime we visit Ogunquit. For the first time, I was disappointed. We had dinner there on a busy Friday night. We were told that our wait would be 30-45min and it was just about 45min. The host was slightly distracted & didn't acknowledge us right away when we arrived for... More

My wife and I ate at many of Ogunquit's best restaurants, and our food from Caffe Pregon was by far the best. The atmosphere is inviting, the manager world class, the staff helpful, and the Italian trained chefs superb. The restaurant itself is on the cozy side, but they have a revolutionary customer management system of there isn't a table... More

We have been coming to Ogunquit for 7 years and this was our first visit to Cafe Prego. We found the food to be average, not great. The adults ordered pizza, and the kids had pasta. Average food, average service. Nothing to write home about.

Highly Recommend the Salad and Paninis. We sat outside on the front patio and enjoyed our lunch. The food was fresh and reasonably priced. Definitely a must try.

Did not think it would be gold because it was a busy spot.Bread was good, salad was ok.Someone on the way in said to order the chicken parm.because it was great. It was the worst chicken ever and had the texture of wood.Service was mediocre and kitchen was slow.I almost stuck my head into the kitchen to suggest the chef taste what... We stopped in on our way back from a walk on marginal way. The only reason we did was because it was so hot and they had air conditioning. When we got our food we were glad we did. The pizza and sandwiches were fresh and delicious. Service was fast, friendly and the restaurant was cute. We ended with testing... More

The food was very homemade and tasty and service was very good as well. Chicken parm was very fresh and serviced over eggplant which was really excellent. They do not take reservations for parties under 6 so plan to wait. The Italian wedding soup was excellent as was the chilled watermelon and mango soup both of which were a nice... More
