A visit to Perkins Cove on a beautiful sunny day! Rode the trolley (Molly) to the Cove. We knew there would be a wait so we were prepared for that. The twin lobster deal was my meal. Two full lobsters, cole slaw and corn on the cob. My husband got the clam chowder and had the lobster roll with chips.... More

Stopped by to check it out. Right in the heart of the cove. The prices are very reasonable. As it states in the name it is a shack. The food was ok.

I have been at this place with friends and we experienced not only terrible lobster roll but also unfriendly services. We have been in line for a long time and all tables were empty! Too pricy for the the level of food.

Best choice to go if you want lobster! Fresh as it gets! You pick uou your lobster & they cook it. It was fun! Good beer too! The owner took care of us & told us a few lobster facts! Loved this place!

This place has fresh perfectly made lobster at a reasonable price. The juiciest lobster I had in the area all vacation.

This is fun, even though it ain't cheap. You pick your own lobster and 10-15 minutes later .. Tadaaaa .... Definitely fun with kids. There is a cheaper place, closer to Ogunquit, where you only eat lobster and sit outside.

Delicious food--lobsters right out of the ocean and chowder full of clams, moderate prices, friendly and helpful staff, cozy and casual atmosphere--you won't go wrong at the Lobster Shack. If you are looking for a fine dining experience--white tablecloths, full waiter service, etc.--this aint your place. You order at the front counter, find a table and the staff delivers your... More

This casual, low key spot had amazing lobster. It was very reasonably priced - think my whole lobster was $18. My husband had the fish tacos and liked them a lot. My daughter who doesn't love seafood had a chicken caesar salad and was pleased, too. Everyone was happy, as was our wallet. Highly recommend.

Enjoy lobster, steamers, lobster rolls, chowder and a whole lot more in a friendly, casual atmosphere. Live lobsters caught by local lobstermen wait in tanks filled with ocean water coming straight from the cove. Choose your size and two sides. For all the taste without the work, have a lobster roll any way you like it...a quarter pound single, double-stuffed, triple, or an entire pound on a buttery toasted roll with or without mayo. The lobster wrap and lobster BLT are also recently added favorites. Homemade chowder made from an old family recipe is a great way to start your meal, there's no thickening flour just the perfect combination of clams, fish, potatoes, onions and spices in a milk and cream base. The "Shack" has been owned and operated by the Evans family since the 1980s and is proud to serve the hottest chowder and the coldest beer in town. Let Jason, his family and his crew provide you with a true Maine eating experience in the oldest restaurant in Perkins Cove...
