Stopped for lunch and not disappointed. The fish was fresh and the onion rings light and delicious. No frills, just wonderful fish!

Very small but food is great. I recommend the fish chowder, best I’ve had. Also, the fish sandwich with there homemade tartar sauce is fantastic

Pretty much what everyone else said. Good service tough to screw up steamed lobsters and they didn’t. It is not cheap 3 lobsters and one beer $85.00. Next time I will drive away from the center or tourist town to pay a little less.

My partner and I almost always stop here for lunch while in Ogunquit. We never are disappointed. The lobsters are delicious and the service terrific. We were here at the early beginning of the season. They tend to have a great 2 lobster special later...More

Total “hole in the wall” place in heart of Perkin’s Cove. Order at counter and seating is very limited and tight at picnic style tables. We were warmly greeted and ushered in when room was available. Very good chowder and lobster roll was served with...More

The lobster here was outstanding and the service was the same. One of the men who worked there was even kind enough to explain to my boyfriend and I why Maine is known for its lobster above the rest of New England.

It was $56 but definitely worth it. Got melted butter on the side. You don’t need the 1 pounder, but why not? I also got a cup of lobster stew. It had plenty of lobster, but for me the flavor was just straight cream and...More

Fantastic place to enjoy whole live Maine lobster 5/5. $18/lb and well worth it. Comes with 2 sides, the cole slaw and large ear of corn were excellent. The chowder is packed with potatoes and clams, broth a bit thin for me but super hot...More

This is a no frills place, cozy, local and focused on quality food. The chowder was piping hot and tasty, the lobster rolls we're tender and sweet. No tablecloths, no silverware, no crystal, just great food at a fair price.

Description
Enjoy lobster, steamers, lobster rolls, chowder and a whole lot more in a friendly, casual atmosphere. Live lobsters caught by local lobstermen wait in tanks filled with ocean water coming straight from the cove. Choose your size and two sides. For all the taste without the work, have a lobster roll any way you like it...a quarter pound single, double-stuffed, triple, or an entire pound on a buttery toasted roll with or without mayo. The lobster wrap and lobster BLT are also recently added favorites. Homemade chowder made from an old family recipe is a great way to start your meal, there's no thickening flour just the perfect combination of clams, fish, potatoes, onions and spices in a milk and cream base. The "Shack" has been owned and operated by the Evans family since the 1980s and is proud to serve the hottest chowder and the coldest beer in town. Let Jason, his family and his crew provide you with a true Maine eating experience in the oldest restaurant in Perkins Cove...
