Very disappointed in one of my favorite restaurants in Ogunquit! I would like to give them the excuse that it is early in the season but they are open year round. Pro’s- excellent martini, rolls were hot and crispy, wedge salad fresh- loaded with bacon...and blue cheese, Chicken in the Marsala was good but more on that dish later! Con’s- crab cakes very tiny and small portion for price-taste just okay! Chicken Marsala drowning in sauce because there was less than a cup of angel hair pasta to absorb it (this I don’t understand Pasta is cheap), 2 small pieces of mushroom, no prosciutto to be found! Rack of lamb asked to be cooked rare came out raw - needed to be sent back! This a has been my go to place for years- maybe just drinks and apps from now onMore

We ordered a salad (excellent) and the daily lobster special on 4/23/22, which was lobster meat in a garlic-Parmesan cream sauce with mushrooms and spinach, served over Angel hair pasta. Presentation was beautiful, and we eagerly dug in, but the lobster tail meat in each...of our dishes was very tough and took away from our enjoyment of an otherwise delicious dinner. At $39 a plate, we expected it to be cooked properly. They asked us how our meals were, and we didn’t say anything about the tough meat, but I hope they will see this and adjust their lobster cooking methods. Great atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff.More

Visited during early April, the off season, on a weeknight. The place was quiet and they were only seating in the bar and a very darkroom off the bar. I can’t understand why they wouldn’t allow seating in the front dining rooms overlooking the streets...cape. The atmosphere and ambiance was dark and dreary. I felt like I was eating in my father’s Oldsmobile, if you know what I mean. The menu, although varied, lacked creativity and flair. There’s nothing necessarily wrong with baked potatoes and fresh green beans.More

I overlooked this place at first, much to my dismay! What an awesome dining experience we had here! (They do get very busy though so best to call ahead and make reservations before you go, they like to please and want to be ready for...you :) The owner and staff are fantastic. We started out in the lounge, and OMG what an espresso martini! My husband was enthralled by the jumbo shrimp ( and wished he had ordered more) . The lamb rack was outstanding! (take it from a Greek) and my haddock was fresh and perfectly cooked. Dessert was delectable! I highly recommend going here for dinner (they open at 4). Fantastic people, service, drinks, atmosphere and food! Oh and don't overlook the fish and chips menu item. We are talking about a whole filet of haddock here with yummy fries! We enjoyed it so much, we came back the next night! Hubby got the rib eye with the popover........who makes popovers anymore? Ohhhhhhhh so delicious! Thank You to you all at the Village Inn for our great dining experiences and we look forward to coming back soon! :) Sia and Ted from IpswichMore

The staff was so friendly. The atmosphere was fantastic, the food was very good and modestly priced, which made for a great value. Wife and I had a very romantic dinner.

The food, the service, everything made for a special evening for my wife and I. Natasha was our waitress and she was spot on with great service and a welcoming personality. This is our second visit to this restaurant. We come to Ogunquit every year...during the holidays and the Old Village Inn is a must.More

We enjoyed staying at The Old Village Inn in April for several days so we went back to enjoy their bar/restaurant once again. It's pretty apparent that the regulars in the bar are made to feel more welcomed than "tourists". It made us sad so...we won't be going back. No warm vibes.More

We started our evening in the pub. A nice selection of drinks and good conversation! We found the dining room to be quaint and the menu extensive. I had duck and my husband had the steak tips. Both were wonderful and just the right portion...to save room for dessert. Will definitely go again!More

So, it's an odd thing -- I wanted to grab an empty bar stool in the pub for a light meal but was told that there were none available, even though there were about a half-dozen empty ones. For a second I thought the host's...eyesight might be off, but he explained that a group of locals reserved the bar every Friday evening. I never knew you could 'reserve' a bar stool, especially during 'Christmas by the Sea Weekend'. Anyway, I was seated in the tiny front room and got the pub fish and chips and a margarita. The margarita was okay, the fish and chips were good -- meager portion but it fit the price, which was just a few dollars more than the margarita. Old-school, good reputation overall.More

The hostess who seated us was very nice. Our waiter was Jim and we have known him for many years. We were glad to see him. Drinks were good. We were given cheese, crackers, and grapes. I had the turkey dinner and my stepfather had...filet mignon. Both meals were cooked perfectly. We had pumpkin pie for dessert. All the food was delicious. Our compliments to the chef! Jim is an excellent waiter - A+! We live in Kennebunk and this is a favorite place. We'll be back. Thanks Jim!More

This dish was delicious and we hope to enjoy it again when we return. The sauce was a light sauce with garlic and parmesan cheese.

The atmosphere was quiet and romantic. Great service. The food was amazing - we got the queen and king cuts of prime rib. Love that it's open year-round. We will definitely be back!

Very limited seating but you can make a reservation. Pub had a limited but good menu but you can order off the Village Inn menu too. The fish and chips were generous and included French fries and coleslaw. The pub burger was served with French...fries and was very good too. Prices very reasonable.More

What I loved about this place was the feel of it. It’s been there for many years and they have classic dishes that just taste great. It’s got a special old vibe to it. Loved the blue cheese and bacon stuffed mushroom appetizer. Prime rib...was excellent and so was the service.More

The inn has parking in the back but it’s very limited. The trolley stops right in the downtown area and that’s where the inn is located. If you’re thinking of going anytime soon I would suggest taking the trolley. Enjoy!

I am also not 100% sure, but they do have a website, and it seems to me there was a vegan item or two on the menu. You may want to call them too.
