Location in Perkins Cove but kind of hidden compared to other more prominent restaurant locations. 5 tables located on the water side give this spot a more intimate feel. We started with a watermelon salad that was flavored with mint, cheese and a vinaigrette dressing....Different and a very good start. The cold lobster roll was excellent and my wife’s burger was very good. Pasta salad served as side dishes. Service was good and they are clearly sensitive to Covid protocols. Very nice view of cove from the tables too.More

Frequently you sacrifice food quality for ambiance and view. Not so with The Trap at Perkins Cove. A perfect Maine experience.

The Trap is a gluten free delight. I was thrilled to get fried calamari with a gluten free batter- tasted great! While likely meant as an appetizer I had it as my meal. The restaurant has outside oceanfront seating and also outside seating off the...road which is where we sat. You go in and order and then they bring the food to your table. The menu is fairly limited but everyone seemed to like what they got. Plunked in the middle of scenic Perkins Cove in Ogunquit it is well worth a visit if u need a gf diet.More

Our family, with two kids (12 & 14), ate here and loved it. We enjoyed the patio seating by the ocean. We all enjoyed the chowder. In fact, the reason we went there is because our 12 year old daughter remembered the chowder from our...last visit 4 years ago. We — more importantly, she — was not disappointed at all!More

amazing gluten free options, including calamari. Also great for people with celiac because they make the bread in a separate toaster and are very careful in preparations. Very nice staff.

Stopped for lunch. Lobster roll with gluten free bread - a plus, fried oyster sandwich , 2 cocktails $64. A bit pricey. An sit out front inside or on their small deck which was just ok. Food was delicious, clean place and restroom.

Food: good/average. Service: grumpy. Pls read on. Food is ok/pricey and identical to items just across the street. We ate lunch as The Trap was opening for lunch on Fri Sep 11. We were 1 or 2 couples in the entire place. After ordering we...asked to sit at the back deck. We were told by the very rude lady with the blond straight hair (the manager?), that since we already sat down in the front she would not let us move as they would have to reclean the front table... apparently a 30 second exercise to spray and wipe the table/chairs. The lady was more interested in working through her receipts ledger (at 11:30am?) than in paying us any attention. Don't bother with this place as identical food is available at several places within a few yards that offer service with a smile.More

I don't think so, it's a small place. They are the sister to lobster shack which is bigger. Lobster shack doesn't have hot lobster rolls or the view. Not sure about reservations there either
