We come here every summer for a classy lunch with the best view in Ogunquit. We always get fresh oysters; lobster and crab rolls are delicious. Small restaurant and intimate setting. Return trip to Ogunquit. So happy to find the Trap open. Only their second day open this year ! We’ve eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. You order and pay then take a seat. Seaside patio is our favorite. Chowder is very flavorful. Watermelon salad was delicious. Mussels are the best in the area and are served with crusty bread to...soak up the delicious “sauce”. Crab cakes are yummy.More

One of go to places on our annual trip. The view on back patio is unbeatable. Love the Chowder and Hawaiian Poke bowl. I’ve never ordered a bad item on menu. Everything is good!

This little gem was a wow experience for our group. Limited seating on the waterfront, but get it if you can. The mussels were super yummy, then we asked for extra bread for us all to dip into the wine sauce - plenty to go...around. I had the crab cakes with a mango sauce and arugula which were beautifully prepared. Closed from October till the spring, but worth the wait.More

This place is a greagt place overlooking the Ocean ! The Patio is a great place to have Lunch.We had Lobster Rolls and Beverages and everything ws good. A perfect place to experience Maine and the Ocean !!

We stopped in for a quick lunch before our scenic cruise out of Perkins Cove. The Trap is fantastic. Order at the counter and then you will be seated. We we fortunate to get a deck table overlooking the ocean. Could not ask for a...better setting on a crisp late summer day ! Food was super fresh, creatively prepared, and very well presented. We shared 3 apps ( crab cakes, walnut sesame shrimp, fried oyster cups ). Each app was awesome ! The oysters were some of the best we have ever had ! Location in Perkins Cove but kind of hidden compared to other more prominent restaurant locations. 5 tables located on the water side give this spot a more intimate feel. We started with a watermelon salad that was flavored with mint, cheese and a vinaigrette dressing....Different and a very good start. The cold lobster roll was excellent and my wife’s burger was very good. Pasta salad served as side dishes. Service was good and they are clearly sensitive to Covid protocols. Very nice view of cove from the tables too.More

Frequently you sacrifice food quality for ambiance and view. Not so with The Trap at Perkins Cove. A perfect Maine experience.

The Trap is a gluten free delight. I was thrilled to get fried calamari with a gluten free batter- tasted great! While likely meant as an appetizer I had it as my meal. The restaurant has outside oceanfront seating and also outside seating off the...road which is where we sat. You go in and order and then they bring the food to your table. The menu is fairly limited but everyone seemed to like what they got. Plunked in the middle of scenic Perkins Cove in Ogunquit it is well worth a visit if u need a gf diet.More
