A great restaurant in the small town of Norway. Who'd a thunk that there is a restaurant in Norway that rivals any in Portland, Maine. Try the crispy duck, or the salmon, or the white gazpacho with soft shell crab, or the pork, or heck, the whole menu is wonderful. Try the desserts, Amy makes them all in house. Can't... More

We were early for our reservation, but were greeted very warmly and invited in by Amy Baker, the restaurant's co-owner and hostess. The restaurant is housed in a very gracious and beautifully decorated old Victorian home. There was nothing fussy about this Victorian. It was light filled and simply and beautifully decorated with interesting art on the walls, much of... More

We had an extremely gratifying experience at 76 Pleasant Street. We are locals, and have very few choices for great dining in the area. 76 Pleasant Street has met our needs in a dramatuic way. Great fare and reasonable prices coordinated with an outstanding family operation have made this a new destination of choice for us. Those seeking a quality,... More

Recently had dinner on a week night to celebrate my birthday, it was lovely! At first I wondered how enjoyable it would be, we were seated near a group of women who were rather loud, but we either got used to their level of conversation or they quieted down a bit. Had the other dining room been open, we would... More

Amy greeted us at the door with a warm welcome. The gorgeous wooden interior of the house created the perfect ambience. She ushered us to a table for two with a lovely fire burning (albeit a gas fireplace). We chose the perfect bottle of wine to accompany our meal. Amy served the tastiest warm baguette with delicious little balls of... More

My wife and I go to 76 Pleasant for special occasions. On this evening, we took another couple, enjoying again the wonderful ambiance and exceptional food. Our friends had always wanted to not only come to eat but also to be inside the beautiful 1896 Victorian estate the restaurant is housed in. They had childhood memories of the fancy building,... We had dinner here last night for my dad's birthday and couldn't have been happier with our choice. We had recently read a stellar review of the restaurant in the Maine Sunday Telegram (the review didn't lie), so we decided this would be the perfect place to go for a fancy dinner in the area. Wow, it was phenomenal. Not... More

There was an excellent article written in the Advertiser Democrat on Dec 16th, 2010 with background, descriptions and pictures. This could become one of the best restaurants is Maine...no kidding. Excellent menu, outstanding food, and reasonable prices = a great wining combination.
