The call themselves a Mexican 'southwest flair' restaurant. Food is neither authentic Mexican (for those who have often dined in Mexico), nor is it 'Tex-Mex' style which is my favorite, so I am somewhat prejudiced. Good Mexican food for Maine, I imagine. On the plus side the decor is cool, service is excellent and food came out piping hot and... More

I can't even begin to imagine how many times we have visited Cervesas. The waitors/waitresses know what we usually order for food and drink. Our extended family are also regulars there and we always feel right at home. Food is ALWAYS good, they have both Mexican and American dishes and a small but delicious dessert menu. I can't tell you... More

Found a decent place for Mexican and South Western food here in Newport Maine. Balanced menu between the New Mexico style or Southwestern and your Mexican cuisine. Full bar and decent beer on draft too. Dining room for booth and table seating and a small bar area too. Ambiance is a balance of Western and Native American framed wall art.... More

We eat here occasionally and have never had a bad meal! We were a group of 3 adults and a teenage boy and we all had meals and sodas for $50. You can't beat the value at that price. Definitely will keep eating here. The service is always good as well.

Love the food. Can have fun with wait persons. Love the small order of Southwest Egg rolls and Taco salad for lunch. At night we go for broke. Still a great price for the food you like.

very nice interior, warm and comfortable, friendly staff, our first time. Chicken wraps very good flavor even with lots of iceberg lettuce. The fries looked nice but LOADED with salt, we forgot to ask for no salt, our bad. We hardly eat out anymore due to the high cost, but at least the flavor was good and not greasy. Wish... More

We drove down from Caribou to take our kids out for a Birthday Celebration. They heard about Cervesas and wanted to try something new. It was a very busy Sat night, but we were welcomed to the bar, seated within 15 minutes, and served within 15 more. The margaritas were big and smooth. The menu had a nice selection without... More

This place is always busy for a reason. Great food, service and atmosphere. Very family friendly. Hosts large or small parties. It is a bit loud but not at all unbearable.

Who would think you could find good mexican food in a little town in Maine. Cervesas is an unassuming building from the road, however on the inside the walls come alive with character. Decorated with western, Indian and John Wayne it has got to be good. Menu is not large but has 5he basic Mexican fare, salads, and sandwiches. Everything... More
