Stopped here for lunch on the recommendation of another local Newport Maine business. Very friendly staff, great food - just the right amount not a huge plate full. Has the Lobster Roll done right no additives and on a butter toasted side by side roll. Highly recommended .

We have been to Anglers many times since they arrived in Newport several years ago, mainly to get a quick fix for a seafood craving. I have to state that I grew up in my gram's seafood restaurant and I doubt I will ever have better seafood than what she made, although I am sure my love for her taints... More

Dropped in on this lovely place in Newport on our way to Bar Harbor for a quick bite. What a lovely surprise! The fried clams were tender and fresh! The batter was crisp and light. The side of squash that came with our plate was very creamy and delicious. We had our dog with us and couldn't eat inside so... More

This place was great. A ma and pa type atmosphere, great wait service, food came out fast and hot! It was delicious, the clam chowder is to die for. If you get the bowl beware it is a meal in itself! Lobster roll was very good, angler platter was superb, my boys loved the haddock sandwiches. Lots of food, good... More

Heard about this from locals and checked it out today. Not surprised that food was great. Lobster roll was large and Haddock fish sandwich was excellent and well prepared. They have the onion rings down perfect too! Booth and table seating handled by friendly waitstaff. Simple nautical and fishing decor rounds out the ambiance and decent wine and beers too.

We went to Anglers, because we wanted to be near the coast, it was a great day, and the food was great, Prime rib and fish and chips, but our waitress Brianna was outstanding. She recommended meals and come to find out we both enjoy the prime rib. I know there are 3 "Angler's" in Maine and now we need... More

We stopped here on our drive from Bar Harbor to the White Mountains. It is just a few miles from the exit off the highway and onto Route 2. We were dreading eating in a highway adjacent fast food place and really lucked out finding Anglers. This place is authentic, down home, friendly -- you could tell just walking in... More

By far this may seem expense but you can easily make three meals out of it. Not into salads then every thing from fish & chips to the Lobster Salad is great.
