We drive to Damariscotta quite a bit for dinner. We decided to try the Publick house for the first time. It was hard to find a parking spot, but we managed. When we got inside there were no seats available downstairs and several parties waiting....More

I hate giving bad reviews, but Trip Advisor is proudly posted on the door. The fish and chips were so over cooked that the fish inside the batter was hard. Sent it back. The NY sirloin (ordered medium) was past well done, and so grisly...More

A great local pub. Offers local cuisine. A large menu of on tap beer. All the locals gather and socialize. Offering excellent local oysters!! Ethan is our favorite bartender. Have local music regularly. Good bang for the buck 👍

When visiting the Newcastle Publick House, you will definitely want to check out there extensive beer list that changes weekly. There food is average, I wouldn't say it is great but good.

The Newcastle Public House is just over the bridge from downtown Damariscotta. It is in walking distance of the other sights in town. I would encourage anyone passing through to stop in for a drink and a bite to eat.

On a bike touring trip through New Hampshire and Maine, we dined on the front terrace watching the world go by, enjoying some good beers and a veggie burger that was probably at the top of my list. Great menus, nice people, and good value....More
