Shaw's provides the food, the view and the experience. An eclectic collection of fresh seafood, a raw bar, and meat dishes for the non-seafoodies in your group, completes the attraction. Steamed clams, appetizers or dinners, lobster rolls, whole lobsters are the preferred items to order. Tourist Note: the views of New Harbor alone are worth going to Shaw's. Highly recommend.... Well...how to best describe the experience that is Shaw's Fish & Lobster Wharf? Depending on when you go, I suspect you'll have different experiences. We went one evening, when there was live music below, and we ate upstairs, inside, because every available space outside was PACKED and LOUD. The food was hit or miss. My chicken tenders were overcooked in... More

We eat here once or twice a year. This visit was a bit of a disappointment. Eight fried scallops for $22 and the scallops were "mushy"; the wife thought the scallops were under cooked but the breading did stick to the scallop, but there was no grain and the scallops had the consistency of a baked potato. The taste was... More

Food was fine. Lobster roll was good. Lobster stew/chowder was fine. Milk- based. Beer options on draft were better than expected. In general this place met expectations for a lobster shack type of place but did not exceed.

The bathrooms are a mess with doors that don't shut long lines and smelly a couple of porta potties would help. Tables need wiping. The bartenders need an attitude adjustment

Okay the lobster and clams are great but they have to be to stay in business here. Just like there are no bad pizza places in Brooklyn, no one can stay in business on the Maine coast without serving great lobsters. I did see someone eating a green salad. It was sad to see. The real draw is the outside... More

A true Maine seaside experience. Lobsters like you have never had them before. Very casual, outdoor and inside tables Extensive menu to choose from but sitting in the cove surrounded by lobster boats. Go for the lobster - and one is not enough! Have been going there every time I visit Maine for many years with family and friends. Also... More

It's a nice location, but $21.95 for a fried clam dinner is just over the top. This is a typical walk up and order seafood restaurant in Maine. Southern and Mid-Coast Maine has gotten to the point where they're pricing me out of dinner for a family of 4. I will stick to cheaper roadside eateries for my fried seafood... More

I am not really a fan of seafood, so I ordered the cheeseburger. The situation is totally different this far north, when you order a burger. It came with cheese (no lettuce or onion) I did ask for onion, and they supplied that with a smile. The burger itself was good, and the onion rings were like homemade ! Others... More

Nestled beside the fishing wharf, overlooking a cove where Maine fisherman dock, featuring a ferry ride is a local restaurant that will not disappoint. Everything is fresh and made to order. If the locals love it then you know it is the real deal!!
