PS: The fireplace was gas. Just flip a switch and it would have transformed a cold rainy night into a warmer place, but the Owner did not value us spending time or money in her place. Its the last time we eat there! There are friendlier places with much better food to patronize.

Staying locally we eventually found this place, also called Ruthie's Hotel Terrace, and we were glad we did. Food was excellent and the service good.

It was 53 degrees and raining when we arrived. Asked if she was planning to turn on the fireplace. The Curt answer was no I am not! That should have been a clue of what was to come. Food and service was mediocre. Not accommodating. Would not return.

May be fine for sandwiches and burgers, not the fish we ordered. Probably fine for lunch and breakfast too, just don't expect a good dinner. Scootic In and River Driver are very, very good for dinner. I usually don't bother to review anything with one star but people should know that it's more of a diner/coffee shop type place.

Being mostly empty when we arrived we should have gone someplace else. My meatloaf was fair and the next day my stomach reacted badly! Will never eat here again!

This restaurant is attached to a small (10 room) hotel. We would not have known about this place unless we were told by a local. We had a very enjoyable meal, and the waitstaff was very friendly and "chatty" about the area. Very reasonably priced. Many locals eat here. The best meal on our 2-day stay in the area.

Stopped by The Hotel Terrace when staying in Millinocket on a recent motorcycle trip. After being in quebec was really looking forward to some down home cooking! The Hotel Terrace was a short walk from the hotel i was staying at, after reading some reviews i knew this was the place for me. The staff was incredibly friendly and enjoyed... More

Went there to eat with company from Iowa. He said the lobster roll was the best he ha had. He had four from other places prior to here. I had a turkey club sandwich which the bacon was cooked just right.

Ruthie's was recommended to us as the place that the locals like. We were preparing for a stay in the campground at Baxter State Park the next day. We had a very good seafood chowder a!long with a chicken Caesar salad. The wait staff was incredibly friendly a d the prices wares extremely reasonable. As for the locals, well, there... More
