Let's start with the blueberry pie!! Yummmmm. Cinnamon rolls - to die for. Breakfast was a-mazing. So amazing, we went back a second time. Highly recommend the omelets.

This restaurant follows the protocol for indoor seating during this pandemic. The setting is unremarkable, but cleanness and the service are excellent. I had the crab cakes dish and a piece of coconut chocolate pie. The main course was bland and the crab patties were...really dry. The pie was amazing, I totally recommend it. The price charged here was really fair, a bang for the buck.More

I have been enjoying the scallop stew since 1959 in Machias, It is out of this world. I had it at the Ellsworth location twice this summer. Just talking about it makes me want to make the two hour drive to get more! Delicious and...I am a foodie!!!More

Didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. While waiting for your table, you have to check out the pies at the counter. Almost ruined my dinner. They looked so good. We had good service and our food was very good. Just good ole down home...cooking. And DON"T miss a piece of pie. I took a piece with me and had it later that evening. Coconut creme pie. Oh so good. But they have so many different pies to choose from. Something for everyone.More

Great food but they give you too much, couldn’t eat it all. Good variety with both comfort food and so much more. Desserts are pretty good too!

Helen’s is great... service, prices, food quality and atmosphere. The food is tasty and well-presented but the pie is the bomb. Save room for the pie. Would definitely eat here again.

The girls who got my food and rang me up for takeout were sweet and lovely. The lobster roll was the best I have ever had, with the lobster cooked perfectly. I would have preferred beer batter on my onion rings but they were still...good. The chocolate pie was off the charts. Although pricier than I normally pay, I think my meal was worth it. I would definitely eat here again. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.More

Thank you for your recent takeout order with us. I am happily going to share this with the cashiers who have really been incredible during these very different circumstances. Our fresh lobster meat in our own homemade roll is just incredible, we agree. Come again...More

The food is exceptional. The blueberry pie was the best I’ve had after over a week in Maine. The staff is very nice and helpful and the place is cute. However, I don’t think that they are that covid prepared. There is no outdoor seating....While the tables may be officially 6 ft away, there is a lot of foot traffic in between them. Masking for guests is not enforced. The staff wears small clear chin visors that do not cover their noses. I would recommend takeout from here for now.More

They have some great local Maine beers on tap as well as a full line of liquor. They even have a great blueberry sangria made with fantastic local Maine blueberries. Yummy.
