We were excited to have a nice night evening out at "worlds best beer bar" and a meal after a weeks vacation with grand kids. We were quite disappointed. Service was poor and food I could make at home myself. I had a Reuben for...$19, way more than the good one I had last week. Started out poorly, they brought us water but no glasses. I asked for some and waiter apologized, then forgot to bring the glasses again.. I went to the bar and got our own. Then no wifi for the public, not a big deal but surprising. Beers on tap is extensive, as advertised, many belgian style beers. I tried one of their popular ones, $14 for 12 OZ. It tasted like Blue Moon, good but not 14 bucks good. I like stouts and they had a 13% imperial stout, impressive, but since belgian style is there forte, I asked for just a taste of the imperial stout instead. Waiter said he would ask, never got back to us. Food came in 10 minutes and we were gone in less than an hour. More interested in moving us through than a dining experience. So much for a nice evening out..More

We are not self-proclaimed foodies--we love to explore, and any good quality food and service is an expense well-spent. We wanted to explore this place for its reputation, for its reviews, and because we love a good pint of craft brew. We also acknowledge that...every restaurant is currently in hard spots because of Covid-19. Some of our favorites include Bartlett Winery, Oxbow, Maine Mead Works and Norumbega Cider. To begin, we arrived and signed in at the tent outside, waiting outside the front door as instructed. It took the hostess at least 20 minutes to even acknowledge that we were there, and a customer inside said "it takes her awhile, but she'll come get you," through the screen on the porch. We were eventually seated and immediately ordered an appetizer and two drinks. Each drink was $16 at least, 6% alcohol. We were told "It's Belgian, so its more like wine," which was the explanation for the 6 oz pour as opposed to a full pour we saw on other tables. We were then told they were having problems importing their beers, which was another reason for their prices (the waitress said.) Then came the food. We ordered a $15 baked brie. It amounted to approximately two and a half tablespoons of typical grocery store brie with honey and orange marmalade, a dish we could have easily made ourselves for around $2. Another round of drinks and we asked for the tab. With a tip, two beers each and an extraordinarily (impressively) small appetizer, we shelled out $85.00. If the view was worth it, maybe we'd have considered. But small pours, the view of a golf course, and a tiny slice of brie in a tinfoil tray-- we won't be back. With respect, we know all restaurants are struggling, but Maine is beer country. This restaurant can afford to access local, high-quality beers and stock at a rate and quality that provides variety and doesn't rob their customers. Also, they up-charge you if you want to pay with a credit or debit card, approximately $3-$4. So cash is the way to go. Have to say...it wasn't really even all that cozy? I'm genuinely very curious about why people love this place so much. Everyone was pleasant enough, but the wild reviews-- they've only Belgians on the menu, and the food really isn't all that impressive. It seems like more of a cult classic location that you have to hit once for the sake of hitting it. Just make sure you eat beforehand and dont get more than two rounds unless you have a few hundreds stashed away to spend on small pours of very good imported beer. But I'd rather just buy Delirium Tremens in the store instead of $16 per glass and enjoy it on the porch.More

If you are a Belgium Beer lover this is a must! The staff are extremely knowledgeable on every beer they offer. The food is basic pub food - burgers, chili, etc. Perfect compliment for the drinks!

This is my Dads absolute favorite place. The beer selection is amazing. My first visit there I had the Thai wings and the chili. Both were excellent. I would have loved to try more but I was stuffed. Pops had the steak and cheese on...a baguette which he thoroughly enjoyed. I will visit Ebenezer’s again for sure!More

We went off season. The bar was full so we sat in the dining room which needed a space heater to keep you warm. Ordered the Onion Soup Special. Nothing was special about it . Warm at best, salty as heck, and little to no...onions. I really should have sent it back. Two of us ordered it and both felt the same. It was also $9 for a bowl. Another party member ordered a fish sandwich and that was mediocre at best. Let's get to the drinks. Bloody Mary's were $12 but hey it included a piece of bacon. Coffee drink was $15. Mixed drink I believe around $10. For a pub I was expecting a little less. Very disappointed. Over priced drinks. I had met someone and asked him what he thought about the place and he said on the expensive side for drinks. So he was right.More
