Several different rooms give this restaurant a cozy feel. We had a nice ocean view from one of the deck tables. General American food menu with seafood, meat selections and salad/appetizer choices. This particular evening, service was slow.

Pub food. The menu is a real mixed bad. This is the place for people who like all their sides and inclusions. Large portions. If your hungry it's much easier to eat here than in Camden. Nice staff.

Monday night in Lincolnville, not a lot of choices. We went to the Whales Tooth for some supper. The table was nice outside and the breeze was welcome. The waitress was slow. Quite and exceptionally slow. Slow to greet us, slow to bring drinks, slow to check back (she could easily have sold us another round), slow to take a... More

I like the atmosphere and the location, but the food has never even come close to impressing me. Then at the end, I'm always shocked at how much I've spent. Don't expect to be wowed. I WANT to be a bigger fan, but they have yet to give me a reason to be.

We were looking for fresh seafood and we got it tonight! The service was prompt and friendly. There was a great pace to the meal, salads, apps and main course. It never felt rushed, nor did we feel we were waiting too long. I loved the baked stuffed haddock. I think it has a white wine vinegar that it is... More

Food was acceptable, service was atrocious and it was not busy at all. Will give them another chance of course when in the area, but be aware - you may be pretty much ignored.

We stopped for lunch while driving north. My wife ordered the steamed mussels. Every mussel was heavy with sand...just not edible. I tried a few and all were real sandy. I know it is not unusual to get a sandy one now and then but these were just not edible. They just weren't purged long enough. Waitress suggested we say... More

Nothing about this restaurant was enjoyable, really! Overcooked prime rib, runny squash and lousy garlic mashed potatoes which cost an extra 2.50. A Simple martini had to be returned to the bar. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. Outdated décor and smelly dining room rug. One star for the hostess who was cheerful..

We were expecting large fried shrimp and were very disappointed when the popcorn shrimp arrived. Not very flavorful. Fries were soggy. The fresh bread was the highlight of the meal. Very nice staff.

This picturesque setting, in an old whalers house by the water is a pleasant setting with a varied menu catering to seafood as well as landfood choices. The staff is local, friendly and efficient. Ready to explain the specials and give accurate directions to local attractions. There is plenty of parking and reservations for parties of 6 or more. A... More
