It was dark when we stopped so can't say what the views would be like but restaurant is located on the water. Order the British fish n'chips. It was served in newspaper and was a hugh order. Food was very good. Prices were a little high. Server was ok.

Ambiance was nice with fireplace, live music building itself but the food was terrible. Beef stroganoff was inedible as it was SO salty. This was third time we tried the place passing thru on holiday and food was also not good previous two times. Will wait 10 min more to go to restaurant further along road next time. Lesson learned.

Cozy local pub. Fireplace romantic corners. Food was good. Great place to have local eats. I had scallops. They were done nicely. Would have liked to have sat on the pub side as it had a nicer ambiance for two. The restaurant side is lovely but not as cozy.

A local jewel to us. Stays open year-round and is a place to enjoy a fine dinner and a pleasant glass of wine. The owners are cordial and inviting. The restaurant itself has a wonderful view of Penobscot Bay and in the summer has outside dining. A side note. We had gone to Quebec Province in Canada to pick up... More

Warm intimate setting with live music. On the night that we visited there was a local duo with acoustic guitars that played just loud enough that we didn't need to shout to be heard above the music. Good food and good service. Follow the locals to this popular destination.

We stumbled on this wonderful pub and restaurant on our vacation up the Maine coast. The building is very historic (1762). The ambience was great---warm and cozy fire on a cold windy evening. Our waitress, JC, was extremely friendly, helpful, and made the evening a delightful experience. Our lobster dinner was amazing! Be sure and leave room for dessert. They... More

Go for the venue, not necessarily the food as it was just average. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

We had an absolutely delicious meal here with friends. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. Everything from lobster to Shepherds Pie was very, very good. We hope to return for another meal soon.

The ambiance of the place was good, but the food was only OK. It was a great place to stop for hot chocolate and a few appetizers after a day of hiking in the cold.
