This place was great! My favorite was the clam chowder, next time I will get it in the bread bowl. The lobster roll was good but the clam chowder was my fav! We noticed people bringing their own wine and setting up picnics! Loved this place, along the water and delicious food! Make sure you know what table number you... More

Looking forward to eating a lobster roll but due to state regulations you cannot bring your dog to sit with you even though you are outside at a picnic table. Interesting because we had no problem bringing our dog to Red's. They even gave our dog a drink while waiting in line. Oh well!! Keep looking for dog friendly locations.

We heard about this restaurant and decided to drive two hours for lunch. What a wonderful find! As we drove up, it appeared parking would be a problem. However, there was a young man who helped us park, stopping traffic to allow us to cross the lane and park. There is a ramp down to the restaurant which is on... More

Nice, relaxing on the water. Being first timers, the ordering process wasn't very clear, boiled lobsters at one place, everything else at another, or your whole party at the boiled lobster place if only 1 person orders boiled lobster. Hard to figure it out. No signage to help. Parking along the road is horrible. There's a young man who helps... More

Clam chowder is amazing. The fish bites too salty. Service was fast, but you need to identify a special number on each table or you cannot order. The ordering system is clunky.

Been here twice. First for raw oysters (thought they were on the small side, my view). Steamed mussels, beer battered shrimp and fries, potato salad and coleslaw. Returned next day for the lobster dinner. With corn and coleslaw. Excellent food and service.

We visited with a group of 8 friends. Apparently our order got misplaced, and everyone else had eaten by the time we pointed out the error. They made it up to us with a massive pile of extra fries with our lobster. (You should know this is BYOB-- they have limited soft drinks, and NO beer, but you can bring... More

We went on Saturday night at the recommendation of our innkeeper. It was BYOB and order your lobster. Great service and fun atmosphere. After learning the rules (bring your own alcoholic drinks and anything you want to eat that's not on the menu), we returned the next night for more lobster and mussels. Lots of fun and great service!

Have eaten at Chauncey Creek many times. It's a beautiful spot, and a fun place to visit with a group. The menu is limited, and the food is good, but expensive - the appeal of the place is the location on the river and the fact that it's BYOB. Yesterday there were four of us. We started off with an... After not being able to visit here for many years we were anticipating another great meal.....not to be. Gelatinous thick non-clam soup was terrible, the $20 lobster roll on a non-toasted hamburger bun mixed with a scant amount of Miracle-Whip (why not just good real mayo.?) was very disappointing. Though there were chunks of fresh lobster the rest of it... More
