Bob’s is your classic old school Clam shack! As good as it gets. Awesome fried clams, fries, lobster rolls, good chowder. We stopped there for lunch based on reviews. We ordered the Jumbo Lobster Roll ($22.95), which came with Fries, a medium Clam Chowder ($7.95), and a Whole Clam Dinner with Fries, Slaw, and a Roll ($ 29.95). The Lobster... More

We have been stopping at Bob's Clam Hut on our trips to Maine for almost 25 years. The food is always dependably good, although on this last visit some of the fried clam strips were clumpy and a little gooey. Nothing that would prevent me from a return trip. I equally enjoy the service from the staff - always friendly... More

Loved Bob's Crab Hut food. Excellent service, fast preparation and delivery after your order. I ordered a Crab Cake, Clam Chowder Soup and Cole Slaw. Looking at it you will think Oh My, but you will be surprised at how good the food actually is. I highly recommend stopping if you are traveling through the area.

We stopped at Bob's Clam Hut based on all kinds of recommendations that it is among the best in the state. The reviews were spot on. The location in Kittery is right along Route 1, within view of the salt water and the outlets. You place your order at the window outside - and the person taking our order was... More

Stopped by because it was on Triple D. We got a basket of fried clams and lobster roll. The menu had a lot to choose from, the atmosphere great, service awesome and despite the crowd, food came up fast ( you pick it up at a window ) You can eat outside at the picnic tables or inside. There's not... More

We read about Bob’s Clam Hut online and decided to eat lunch there on our return from a week in the New Brunswick and northern Maine areas. It was crowded, but the efficient staff (parking attendants, order takers, cooks, servers, and other staff) made parking easy and the waiting time fast. We had difficulty deciding what to order because the... More

Amazing lobster rolls and lobster stew. This is a very busy lobster/clam shack right on RT 1. You place your order at the window, pay and then wait for your order. There is seating both outside and inside. They have a large menu but since we were in Maine it was lobster for us and we were delighted with our... More

Stopped here on the way back home and I have to say it was really good; however I would recommend getting there when it opens if you want to get a table. We actually ended up eating in the car. Ordering tho was very efficient and quick. You order at one window, you get a number and you pick up... More

We've been coming here for over 30 years and have never been disappointed. Everything is fresh and delicious. Great stop if you're shopping in Kittery.

Description
Established in 1956 on busy Route One long before that stretch became bustling and busy with Kittery's outlet shops, Bob’s was the locals' golden fried standard. Now Bob's is a favorite spot for locals and travelers alike. We hear it from our guests: no trip to Maine is complete without a meal at Bob's Clam Hut.Bob's is committed to serving traditional Maine fried seafood with straightforward simplicity. Our clams are always fresh, which means daily deliveries--we're too small to store more than that anyway. We use "specials," which are clams hand-selected for consistent size and quality. We follow the original Bob's recipes, including the famous tartar sauce. Customer favorites include Bob's New England Clam Chowder, Lobster Stew, the traditional Bob's fried clams, and the Lillian fried clams. The volume of fryolator oil we go through amazes our suppliers--our oil cleanliness standards are second to none. Our staff uses the same cook-to-order system that Bob and his family developed way back when the Clam Hut first opened.Open for lunch and dinner year round from 11:00.
