If I'm in Kittery to sit and eat inside a seafood restaurant, I go to Roberts. If I'm looking for a more casual, outdoor or takeout dining experience? I ALWAYS go to Bob's! This is the PERFECT stop for outlet shopping or beach trips. The food is always excellent, and they serve one of my favorite lobster rolls (as well... More

We've driven past this place loads of times and it always seems fairly busy so we decided to stop and give it a try. We ordered the Seafood Basket so we could try the different menu items and were disappointed at the (small) size given the high price. The clams were very good however the rest of the items (scallops,... More

Prices a bit high but the food is fresh and doesn't leave you wishing for anything more. Very casual atmosphere. I'm sure in the warmer months this place is a necessary destination for many.

New Years Eve day, cold, line out the door, crowded, everyone smiling cuz they know some of the best fried clams in New England are being served from this iconic little shack. Line was even longer to wait for a table after picking up order so we ate out in the car. We were not disappointed....I had the full belly... More

We used to come here more frequently, but haven't been back for years until last month. It was just as we remembered it (although much busier). We love the clams! If we are ever in Maine, this is a must-go place for us. The service has always been prompt and friendly. The portions are very good - we don't leave... More

We stopped by Bob's on the way to visit relatives in Boothbay Harbor. It was outstanding -- the food, service and overall ambiance. We were so happy we decided to stop by on the way home for a second helping and it was equally as good! We highly recommend the hot-style lobster rolls served with warm butter. Everything on the... It isn't as good as it use to be. I have been going here since it was nothing but, a little brown shack. My parents & I went all the time. I took my kids there from the time they could eat solid food. And now they go there when they come home on vacation from Los Angeles. However in... More

If you love seafood, this joint is a must. Fresh food, fried/grilled on the spot. It's no wonder it was featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives because the food is high quality. Be ready to pay between $14 to $20 per person, and possibly sit and eat in your car during rush times. But it is WORTH it. The... More

Established in 1956 on busy Route One long before that stretch became bustling and busy with Kittery's outlet shops, Bob’s was the locals' golden fried standard. Now Bob's is a favorite spot for locals and travelers alike. We hear it from our guests: no trip to Maine is complete without a meal at Bob's Clam Hut.Bob's is committed to serving traditional Maine fried seafood with straightforward simplicity. Our clams are always fresh, which means daily deliveries--we're too small to store more than that anyway. We use "specials," which are clams hand-selected for consistent size and quality. We follow the original Bob's recipes, including the famous tartar sauce. Customer favorites include Bob's New England Clam Chowder, Lobster Stew, the traditional Bob's fried clams, and the Lillian fried clams. The volume of fryolator oil we go through amazes our suppliers--our oil cleanliness standards are second to none. Our staff uses the same cook-to-order system that Bob and his family developed way back when the Clam Hut first opened.Open for lunch and dinner year round from 11:00.
