Fun place with good friendly service Live band outdoor tiki type bar You may have to look a little harder to find it. It's kinda out in the middle of nowhere on route one and set back but plenty of parking!

You have to look for this. The place is set back off the road near a closed building that sits on Route 1. Basically a covered bar area with some seating and take out windows. There is a fire pit and music starting at 6 on the weekends. Food was OK--clam strips, chicken tenders, fries and a sausage sandwich. Scallop... More

A friend of my boyfriends recommended we check this place out, he had good things to say and they were well deserved. Our last Friday (7/8/16) in York we took a party 10 for dinner. We were welcomed at the 'gate' by friendly and helpful staff. Not only did we have two kids under 3 in tow, but someone on... More

This location is only open Memorial Day to Labor Day. It's dock is on the Piscataqua across from Portsmouth, NH. "Happy Hour" 1/2 price appetizers from 4pm - 6pm. Seafood is exceptionally fresh due to its location to the Corporate office. I enjoyed the Oyster sampler, Mussels in white wine & garlic broth, Steamer clams and a lobster. If you... More

We had a late lunch and arrived at 8:40pm (they close at 9:00!). However, the waitress was more than happy to seat us without any worries about the time. We ordered clam chowder, fried whole clams and a lobster roll. The chowder was some of the best I had in the area! The clams had "medium" bellies and were fried... More

After a few visits to Portsmouth and many visits to the Kittery Outlets, we were turned on to Lobster in the Rough by friends who grew up in the area. An easy drive onto Badger's Island down Route 1, we were immediately impressed by the beautiful view of downtown Portsmouth from across the Piscataqua River. The menu is somewhat limited... More

We had a party of 7 for dinner and requested a table outside on the deck overlooking the Bay. They told us a 45 minute wait but we could have a drink outside. After an hour we inquired and they told us the table they had for us should be ready as the party there had their bill. Well they... More

Great fresh oysters, steamer clams, mussels and lobster with a beautiful view of downtown Portsmouth and the Piscataqua River from the deck. Casual place. Great dock to watch the sunset from.
