Great breakfast sandwiches! Tasty, fresh, quick and just what we wanted. Can be on an English muffin or bagel, with cheese, bacon, sausage - basic but delish!

Old Salt's Pantry used to be good. Used to be!! We stopped in for a couple of sandwiches and had one of the worst overall experiences ever! We started by asking what was in the chicken salad and the tuna fish salad. All we got...was an exasperated look and were told chicken and mayonnaise and tuna fish and mayonnaise, nothing else and they clearly were bothered by the question. Things only got worse from there. We asked for some tomato and some lettuce on the side -- evidently another horrible breach of some protocol. As we were checking out, we noticed that there was no tomato or any lettuce in the bag. One of us went back to the end of the counter to ask for those items, and that's when things got worse, if possible. The gentleman (used advisedly) screamed that we should not have gone back there at all, and when I explained why, he literally threw some lettuce and some chopped tomato in the bottom of the bag, totally unwrapped up, and just made a mess of the bottom of the bag. And when we tried the sandwiches, they were ordinary at best. Clearly not someplace where you would think that the food is so good that you don't care about the service. People like this simply should not be in business!! There are so many other options in Kennebunkport, and you should chose any of the others.More

Warm buttered roll and lobster that you can sit outside on their benches and watch Kennebunkport go by... all at a good price!

We bought ice cream here and because it was am extraordinarily warm day we asked if we could buy an empty ice cream cup and a water because our dog was hot. They refused to sell us the empty cup! Not sure why, all he...said was'we don't do that'.More

Decent sandwiches, but the experience was bad because the workers stared at us and shook their heads in disapproval because my daughter (who has an immune systems disease) was wearing a mask. Literally talked about us under their breath while we were waiting for our...meals.More

This little shop has great Boar’s Head sandwiches; big enough for me and my wife to split for lunch. Choose your bread, toppings and condiments. The homemade ice cream is to die for. A kiddie sized cone is big enough for most people. I highly...recommend it...fair prices, great service. Take out only!More

We have traveled all over the area and this is definitely the best lobster roll. Just a bit of mayo on the bun, fresh crisp lettuce, and heaps of perfectly cooked lobster. It’s kind of pricey, because you just get the sandwich, But it is...absolutely delicious.More

My wife and I were in Kennebunkport July 14th -July 17th, 2020. We had booked a whale sight seeing tour one late afternoon and was told to bring a packed lunch. They recommended going to Old Salt's Pantry because it opens early. So we stopped...by there on our way back to our hotel to check it out. So glad we did! Little place with BIG heart! We explained what we were going to do the next day and the gentleman behind the counter, "John", said he would take good care of us and our lunch needs for the whale watch tour. We arrived there early the next morning and John was ready. My wife had a muffin and coffee for breakfast and I had an egg and sausage sandwich. With a real egg! It was so delicious! We ordered two sandwiches. One turkey and one roast beef. He double wrapped them so they would stay fresh. He packed everything into two bags, thanked us for stopping in and wished us well on our whale watch. Half way through our tour, we decided to eat lunch. The sandwiches were incredible! The morning before we left Kennebunkport, I decided to stop by Old Salt's Pantry once again for breakfast. John was just opening up as I arrived. He didn't ask me to wait until he got things sorted out. He just went right to work asking me what I would like. Some goodies for my wife and another egg and sausage sandwitch for me. And just like that, he had my order all packed and ready to go. Old Salt's Pantry is a great little stop in Kennebunkport! Good and simple food. Outstanding service! And John... Well, he makes it a truly wonderful experience. He was there by himself. Worked very hard to take care of his customers, and had a smile on his face every time I spoke to him. The likes of him are rare now a days. We will alway remember Old Salt's Pantry. And we will always be greatful for the way John made it a wonderful experience. Thanks John!!More

We were briefly in town and LOVED this place; the food is GREAT. A local shopkeeper recommended it to us and we thought it was great. My colleague who is a food snob got a lobster roll and some chowder/stew (?) and LOVED it. I...got the raspberry chocolate chip ice cream and it was amazing; the small size was much bigger than expected and certainly enough. The young fellow who took our order was very nice and efficient. An all around fun experience. Got really crowded just as we were leaving so we lucked out with our timing.More
