We've been going to Pier 77 for years. Summers in the area are very busy so we normally only go off season so this was the first trip in quite a few months. Quickly, we'll never go back. I was going to have a glass...of wine (dining alone this trip) and found the wine list had been gutted. I made a choice from the minimal selection and was told they were out of what I wanted; and then proceeded to list multiple others they were out of. The server left so I could look at the menu. It was almost 10 minutes before they returned. When my order was delivered it wasn't the server, and they never came back while I was eating. The food was edible, but far from the standard of years past. Nothing was 'good'. I finished and after five minutes pushed my plate away and had to wait another five minutes to have the server come back. Food, less than average; service, poor; wine list, minimal with holes; view, excellent. My suggestion, come and walk around and head back to town for a nice meal. Tragic end to what was a nice place.More

Super accommodating in making a reservation a large party. Our waitress was delightful and the sunset was pretty. But if the food is terrible, nothing else really matters. Because the food was TERRIBLE. Also we were a party of 9. they brought out 1/2 the...food and then it was another 10 minutes before more of the food came out and was STILL missing my husband’s meal which he then told them just the cancel after waiting another 5-7 minutes. Would literally never go back.More

We are getting married in October 2022 in the area. The first thing our wedding planner told us to do was contact places in town to hold a rehearsal dinner. We selected a menu and booked with Pier 77 back in early February. The restaurant...directed us towards a "Corporate Office" to book the event and assured us everything would be taken care of through this office. We were told this is how it had always been done and it worked. My future mother in law was in contact with (Yalcin) at "corporate" with the labeled "MIG Express." My fiance and I just finished assembling our invitations yesterday (which cost hundred of dollars to make and stamp, never mind the hours of our time). This morning we received a two line email from Yalcin beginning with: "For the last 8 years our restaurant has been year round, unfortunately we decided to close the restaurant this winter September 30 as we had a very slow summer and cannot keep it open for the slow winter months." The next sentence was another place we could try in town. We called Pier 77 to inquire about what might have happened and why this was just brought to our attention only 2 months before for an event of 75 people. We were met with rude and aggressive behavior not to mention absolutely 0 accountability or empathy. They just repeatedly said to "Call Corporate", they have no information and they can't help us. We never had Yalcin's direct phone number, but I called the number so I called the number for MIG Express I found on their Google Business. Someone seeming to be Yalcin but claiming to be "Igor" got extreme defensive as soon as I mentioned I had a concern about a booking made through the company. He interrupted and yelled at me saying he could not help me and to contact the restaurant. This place is a SCAM. If they are treating business like this who knows how illegitimate the rest of their business practices are. I WOULD NOT TRUST A THING COMING OUT OF THAT KITCHEN!!More

We have eaten at The Ramp, which is the informal part of Pier77/The Ramp, many times. We decided to try the more formal dining upstairs at Pier77 and did not enjoy our evening. First, there was no air conditioning and the temperature in the restaurant...had to be at least 78 degrees. Our waiter, who obviously was untrained, was not very good. When we asked for condiments, he was slow to get them for us. And when we ordered our salad, it never arrived! Our main course came and we asked “what happened to our salad?” The answer we received was “I thought you wanted it AFTER your main course”. Don’t know what country our server is from but it must be somewhere in Eastern Europe where they serve salad after the main course. Also the noise level was quite high, much higher than outside seating or The Ramp would have been. All in all the evening was not nearly as pleasant as it might have been. We will return to The Ramp. We will not return to Pier77More

It was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my entire life! Do NOT go here! If I could give it a 0 I would- Extremely poor service. Made a reservation, Ordered food and after waiting 2 hours it still wasn’t coming. We...kept asking and they said “about 10 more minutes” over and over. We asked to leave and the manager said he could comp our next drinks. We ordered one round while waiting for dinner and did not want to stay anymore. The table next to us finally got theirs then said it was cold…we asked if they could comp the drinks we already had instead of the next round and he said no and stuck us with a $116 bill. When asking for the manager and asked if there’s anything they could do after this horrible experience the “manager” said he would call the police….after this horrible experience and being in there for over two hours we never even ate. we will never be returned after how this “manager” treats and talks to people.More

First, the location is lovely by the harbor no matter the tide level. And the facility is clean, the staff friendly and accessible. We had a delicious, but small, bowl of chowder. Since we are not big eaters, we ordered the string onion rings, a...salad, and a chicken dish. The Med. salad was so loaded with feta cheese (unlike the week before when we had it) that it was difficult to find any lettuce. The chicken was fine but bland and the portion was small. The the rice was not to our liking. All in all, with a regular beer and a small vodka drink, the bill was over 100 dollars. When we finished, we were still hungry. If you go, speak to the manager if you have a similar experience. They do not offer a desert menu.More

Service was inadequate, the waiter spilled my husband's water, didn't apologize or offer to clean it up. We ordered the mussels as an appetizer which were good but when we asked for bread rolls none were provided. Our entrée was disastrous, my scallops, 4 for...$32,were woefully undercooked, everything was underseasoned and my bok choi inedible. My husband's lobster ravioli was lacking the lobster filling and unfortunately the al dente was taken to the extreme....undercooked also. We left most of our dinner and our disappointment was further exacerbated by the charge of $ 20 for 1 shot of cheap tequila. Avoid this placeMore

The waitress was super nice. The restaurant is a nice space with a great view. I had the burrata salad that was delicious. I had the crab melt sandwich. It was ok. Whatever they use on the grill it tasted like old oil. So that...had a bad taste and it said home made chips. I would say they were straight out of a bag of Cape Cod potato chips.More

We first tried The Ramp, downstairs and a related restaurant. Told they stopped serving at 7 PM (!), we went upstairs to Pier 77, where the host/manager seated us. Our server’s first words were, “he really shouldn’t have seated you because it’s after 7.” Not...exactly welcoming, despite many other occupied tables. We ordered and the lag for our food was considerable, although two of us ordered the same item. When our food arrived, the steak was not medium rare, but cooked through and a steak knife had to be requested. The person ordering the seafood soup, described as “mussels, clams, shrimp and fish in a tomato broth” did not get a soup spoon despite repeated requests, nor a bowl for shells. So she stacked them up on the table. Worse, many of the shells were empty! There was one empty clam shell and no clams, many empty mussel shells, two shrimp. The lobster rolls were buried in mayo. When asked if there was anything else, we pointed out the deficiencies with the seafood stew. Our server left, returned and said they’d make it again as a carry out order, a poor solution when one is staying in a hotel, so we declined. We asked to speak with the manager three times. He was visible just around the corner and refused to come over. Finally, yet another server presented the bill — with no offer to make it right, or even offer a complimentary dessert. With two of our party involved in successful restaurant businesses, we know this is no way to win customers! We remained calm and polite throughout this very disappointing experience.More

The hostess was very nice and she gave us a table next to the window. Beautiful view of water and lobster boats. The Christmas decorations are festive and the staff wore Christmas sweaters. My stepfather and I both had lobster rolls which we enjoyed. Drinks...were good. For dessert my stepfather had chocolate mousse cake and I had creme brulee. All our food was delicious. Our compliments to the chef and the bartender! Our waiter Huseyin was efficient and attentive. My mom loved it here and she was with us in Spirit today. We highly recommend Pier 77 and we'll be back. Thanks Huseyin! We would like to wish Huseyin and all the rest of the staff a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!More

THIS REIVEW IS FOR PIER 77 (SAME KITCHEN AS THE RAMP). If you want bland food and awful service this is your place!! We ordered Haddock — dry and flavorless and the Lobster Mac & Cheese — undercooked lobster and no cheese. If you want...a side of something (vegetables, potatoes) — forget it — they do not offer. Service was awful and and when we approached the “manager” about the both the bad food and service his reply: “we are famous - our food is great, what are you complaining about?” It was the first time in over 10 years I departed a restaurant disgusted and literally sick (the seafood undercooked). There are MUCH BETTER other places in Kennebunkport PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME FOR A NICE NIGHT OUT, NEVER MIND THE VERY HIGH PRICES THEY CHARGE. THESE PEOPLE DO NOT CARE !!!!More

Not that I am aware of. I would call Pier 77 and ask them. The Ramp downstairs is more casual than the upstairs dining room.
