Late lunch, we were seated quick enough (4 of us) but it took 15 minutes for Carrie to come to acknowledge us. It was quite some time to get our drinks - beer really good!!!! Once we ordered food and received it, tasty!!! We had...2 cups of clam Chowder - a good portion, a cheeseburger (excellent!!!), and a bowl of clam chowder- very nice serving size! Our only concern was the waitress as she seemed to be bothered that we were needing food and drinks!!!More

This place is WAY over rated!!!! Not enough waiters and the food was sub-par at best. Ate clam chowder just about everywhere we went during our New England trip. This place was definitely the worst. Only saw our waiter when ordering food.

Good food. Service slow and not that great but I think they are just short staffed. Small restaurant. Views of water, but no outside seating. Convenient location when walking around downtown. Had lunch there twice.

While called a restaurant and serving a variety of pub food, we heard grumblings from patrons next to us so we decided just to stick with a beer and the view of the harbor. Limited outdoor seating (without service so you have to order and...carry from the bar if you sit there) and somewhat outdated, brewery-smelling interior. Fine place to stop for a drink, but glad we hadn't gone there for dinner. Do want to point out, however, that the staff were all friendly and the beer and ice tea cold and refreshing!More

Federal Jacks is always fun, enjoying the harbor view and trying the different beers. Our food experience this trip was mixed. The hummus platter and fried calamari were good. The lobster bisque was disappointing. Described as non traditional, which the waitress said meant there were...chunks of lobster in it. Well, one piece of lobster in a whole bowl, which cost $23, did not cut it.More

Atmosphere 5 stars...eat outside. I had a federal jack burger...I have to be honest it was very bland. Almost tasteless. A Baconator at Wendy's is better. The people I dined with sia there food was good. Maybe burgers aren't there thing.

We enjoyed a low key dinner at Federal Jacks in August of 2022. The food is good - bra/pub style food. We had a table near the window and could watch some boats coming in.

We arrived around 6pm on a Friday night and were seated right away. We asked to be sat on the rail overlooking the water and were accommodated by the staff. Our server was very nice but clearly very busy. We each ordered a rum punch...and they were great! We both had fish and chips however I ordered mine with sweet potato fries (love this option!). The fish is very lightly breaded but the breading has little flavor. We each got two large filets though! We completely finished our meals and drinks and waited a bit for our server to check on us. She immediately asked if we wanted the bill but we wanted a second round of drinks which we ordered. Things started to slow down and we chatted with our server a bit and she was very friendly. This was not our first visit here and won’t be our last. We enjoyed a bit of a comedy show as there was no valet that night so the parking lot was nuts. There is very few parking spots available for the restaurant. Just keep that in mind if it’s your first visit.More

I had the Fish & Chips, pretty good very large Portion. I also had a couple Old Thumpers. The Beer selection was less than I would have expected. I sat outside overlooking the Harbor, very Quaint. Definitely worth the visit.

Our experience started out well with an attentive waiter. Drinks arrived quickly. We received our appetizers and then 2 minutes later our mains came out. When I mentioned that we just started eating our apps, the server still put the mains on the table and...walked away. The food wasn’t bad but it was nothing spectacular.More

Husband and I stopped for a beer and sat at the bar. The bar tenders were great help in finding a beer we each liked according to our preferences. We decided to order appetizers as well to go with our beer. We went with the...all day apps - cheese curds and a bowl of the clam chowder. The cheese curds were so good! We were told it seemed they were the favorite bar app that day and I can see why! The white cheese curds dissolved in your mouth… so good and served with a great tomato marinara. The clam chowder was also very good - lots of potato, some celery and parsley and clam bits. I always load my soups with crackers and the oyster crackers were the perfect addition to help thicken the soup - more to my liking. Great late afternoon stop while visiting the area and just wanting a break from walking around and shopping.More

Went into this place with somewhat lower expectations since it’s a brewpub. How wrong we were. We both ordered the double steamed lobsters. They were the best of anywhere we’ve eaten in Kennebunkport. Blew us away. Service was great. Walked in about 5:45pm with no...wait. Give this place a try.More
