Met family for lunch at Pilot House. Place was pretty empty when we arrived at about noon, but by 1pm it was hopping on a Saturday. Good variety with the menu. Old school type place. I loved my whole belly clams and the clam chowder...was also very good although much thicker than I am used to. Prices pretty reasonable as well. Service was very friendly as well.More

We wanted to have a drink and sit by the water, but had to order food.... Very glad we chose the New England Clam Chowder. It was delicious and so thick my spoon was able to stand up in it!!! But as soon as I...got my phone ready to take a picture, it fell over!!!!!LOLMore

Kennebunkport is a really fun town in Maine. It’s located right on the water with classy boats docked or passing by. The Pilot House offers outdoor seating and has delicious lobster rolls and clam chowder, raw oysters, and fried clams. I highly recommend this restaurant...and spending a day in Kennebunkport. The shops in the area are very cute and have high-quality sweatshirts, sweatpants, t-shirts, shorts, etc.More

My wife and I were in the Kennebunkport area for a week and ate here twice. The fried whole belly clams are amazing! Very reasonable and generous portions.

Visited during Covid crisis. Ate outside. Very well organized. Had great New England Chowder bowl and two specials. Asked for some bread and was surprised that I was charged for it, but no big deal. Loved location by the marina.

We were there for lunch on a weekday post Labor Day... we started to worry when we heard the table next to us complaining that they had been waiting 45 minutes for their food, we ended up waiting nearly an hour. It was even more...stressful because we were waiting for a boat charter to start, which we had informed our server of when we sat down. Our server was lovely and it certainly didn’t seem to be the fault of the wait staff, but there was definitely some sort of problem with the kitchen....If the food was amazing it might be worth the wait but it is very typical pub fare.More

Fried haddock Reuben may have been the best sandwich I have ever eaten. Service was good and sitting on the outside deck overlooking the marina was pleasant. Prices were very reasonable for the location right in town. Next time we come to town we are...coming back and I will get that Reuben again to make sure I was not imagining how amazing it was. Dog friendly outdoor seating.More

Dropped in on Friday and was pleasantly surprised by live music! The outride seating was excellent and I enjoyed a tase local beer as well as a two items off the appetizer list...Mussels and Shrimp Cocktail, they were both excellent.

Unexpectedly divine chowda. Stopped in by chance for lunch under the tent in August and found better chowda here than at far pricier spots nearby. Casual, quick, friendly. Great burger too.

We have been vacationing in the Kennebunks for twenty years but had never eaten at the Pilot House restaurant until this year. We shared an order of coconut shrimp appetizer. Then I had steamed clams and my wife had a salad. Service was excellent and...we had a nice view of the Kennebunk River. We would definitely go back again and recommend it for lunch.More
