Iced tea tasted spoiled. Tater Kegs were dry and dark brown on the outside. Tasted ok. Coconut shrimp had quite a bit of oil in the bottom of the basket. Wife's meal was given to a different table and wasn't discovered until the waitress came...to check us.More
Advertised as where the locals go. We were told to check it out. They stop serving food at 9pm. When you walk in the place smells of beer and pee. There were so many people jammed in there you could barely walk. Loud music gross...smells.More

The Pilot House continues to offer very good seafood choices. A couple of dinners this year show that this is a place to go. The only let down was that the portion of the fish and chips was fairly small.
We were in Kennebunk after spending the day whale watching and we were starving. We wanted a bit of a break from seafood. The Pilot House was a great option for an early-bird dinner! The staff was friendly and we ordered pizzas, which were pretty...good (especially for a seafood restaurant). They were also the perfect size for two people to share. The views of the harbor were also beautiful. We got the feeling that it was more of a place locals hangout, as opposed to a tourist haunt.More
We stopped by this restaurant quickly, famished from a long plane ride. It didn't seem to be anything special but then the food came. They serve the best whole belly fried clams in the entire state of Maine!
What a nice surprise! This was our first visit to Pilot House and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Food and service were great but Janice was the best! She made it an experience we will remember. Thank you Janice!

Janice was the best waitress! Service was absolutely excellent, the fried haddock Rueben is 10/10 and the merry margs were delicious. Can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you Janice for making our meal the absolute best.
This is our second visit to this adorable restaurant. The food was excellent and the beer cold. The staff was super friendly. My haddock was so fresh that I was pleasantly surprised. We will be back later in the week!
Selling steamer clams that are old. Clammeat was runny and when questioned, the waiter told us they were supposed to be that way. Sick all night long. Do not eat here
Great spot tucked away from the hustle and bustle of KPT. Friendly staff. Not a spot for those expecting craft cocktails. Perfect, no frills restaurant. Excellent local fish. Enjoyed haddock dinner.
Second stop on the Maine lobster experience (up from the deep South). An excellent lobster roll and a broiled haddock sandwich. Got the job done well, and checked off the lobster roll box (though I expect I will check it again!).
This restaurant is in the middle of the downtown Kennebunkport area right on the waterfront. It has a large bar inside with some tables surrounding in and on the side. There is also a nice size outdoor seating area. The food was hot and cold...sandwiches and seafood platters. We had a lobster roll, which I thought was small for the price and came with cole slaw. Hubby had a grilled haddock sandwich with cole slaw. He declared his really good. The place was packed and servers were working as hard as they could, but service was slow. Still, I would return and try something else.More
Amazing food, great atmosphere, excellent prices!! Came from Ohio to eat sea food and relax and this place has been the best food so far!
