I visited here as part of a business trip, and was brought here by those with whom I was doing business. This was a clean, cozy, small restaurant with a country feel to it. The owner was very nice and her waitstaff were accommodating &...friendly. The food was made fresh by the owner, and I think she said that much (or all) of it is direct from her own farm or garden, I can't remember. Either way, the freshness was evident in the taste of the food - from the appetizers, entrees, and down to the desserts. If I'm in town again, I'll eat there again.More

This is a surprising place right at the back of a sort of mini-mall. A large room with the kitchens and a separate bar area off the dining room. The decor of the whole place is an eclectic mix and makes for interesting conversation pieces....Don't forget to look up at the original (?) tin ceiling. We were there for a late lunch with not many other folk around (their loss) but the service was friendly and efficient and the food was very good and appeared quickly, just what we wanted. Would make this my destination lunch place whenever in the area.More

The cafe is nicely set up as a bar with hi-tops and stools in one room with regular dining tables in another. The dining area is appointed with a mix of interesting things to look at from saloon doors to oriental umbrella light fixtures to...a large picture of Kodiak, Alaska (ask the Joyce to explain this one). Friendly service, fresh food (quiche and tuna sandwich) and beer were very good.More

After seeing positive reviews for this place, we decided to give it a shot. The front entrance was a little off putting, but we seated ourselves in the dining cafe area. It took a few minutes before we were acknowledged, but when we were the...waitress was very nice. My husband order the angus, but was told they had none for the night and only the tenderloin which size wise isn’t comparable. He instead ordered a pizza, he said it is one of the best pizzas he has eaten. He also had the Tomato soup which was good. I ordered the chicken fajitas, which were good, only thing I may change was the tortillas as the shape made them messy and difficult to make a fajita with. The bread was delicious and warm. The menu could do with a larger variety as the drink menu is larger than the actual menu... The service was amazing. We were waited on anyone who was available and saw that we may need attention. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was one drawback. This place needs a coat of paint, better lighting, a swinging door to block the kitchen noise, clean windows, fixed artwork and to lose the handkerchief table coverings. The restaurant has a lot of potential of being something really nice with some improved menu and dining area. I would recommend trying the place for sure just on the fact that the service was amazing and the food was good. If you want an adult beverage this is the place to go, they also had a separate bar area that has table seating as well.More

I have eaten at the Courtyard many times over the years. When family and/or friends want to have a relaxing dinner with great atmosphere, this is the place to go. The menu is carefully selected for each lunch and dinner. Not a huge selection, but...enough variety to satisfy all diets. This is Not a fast food restaurant. Joyce uses only fresh ingredients and takes great care in each appetizer and entree. She makes all of her salad dressings. There is a lovely bar area, as well as a larger dining room.More

The cafe is quaint and very clean. The food was excellent from the wontons to the dessert. The service was very attentive. The food is individually prepared and thus it takes a bit more time and worth the wait. Enjoyed it very much.

We had the pleasure of dining at the Courtyard Cafe recently. There were 5 in our party and everyone was very happy with their meals. In our party, we had the seafood chowder, the baked haddock, pizza, and salads. Every bit of it was wonderful!...The seafood chowder was oh so yummy and filling; the produce in the salads was so fresh and the homemade raspberry dressing was just delicious. The baked haddock was cooked to perfection with a hint of white wine and the accompanying vegetable, garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus, were also perfectly done. The warm rolls that came just before the dinner were also a hit and all were eaten. The waitress and staff were very friendly which made the experience even better. If you have the opportunity to visit this quaint cafe, I would highly recommend that you stop in.More
