We drive out to Hancock to try this recommended place. We waited about 30 minutes to get our table after we called ahead. The service was average and the food was average. Nothing to get excited about. We ordered the stuffed Haddock and the Lobster...and Shrimp Alfredo(not sure this was the actual name but you will be able to find it on the menu). Mine was ok but certainly not the wait and my wife did not like her meal at all. Too much sauce and not much flavor. Also the loaded baked potato came with lots of bacon which is great but was also served with what appeared to be cheese whizz. Really cheap cheese maybe out of a can. Don’t make the drive it’s not worth it. Not recommended and we certainly won’t return.More

Restaurants are not ubiquitous in rural Maine, and they tend to be seasonal. This restaurant had an extensive menu and very nice food, service, and reasonable prices. End of April to the beginning of October.

After a day of hiking Acadia and on our way back to Hancock Point we stopped to have a lobster supper. It was great to sit outside on a beautiful summer night and our dog came along, too! The food was average.

We drove to Schoonic Point for the day and passed this place on the way. We said on the way back we would take some goofy pictures with their boat and giant lobster. We stayed for sunset and were starving, we stopped by and sat...on their porch, although we haven’t eaten inside or even outside a restaurant in over 6 months so we were a bit apprehensive, but everything was clean, and the people there were well spaced out. Our server was attentive, and very friendly, our food came quick, hot, and delicious. I seriously think we had 2 pounds of mussels along with 2 hard shell lobsters, and curly fries. For $35.00 it was a huge steal, and the lobster was well cooked and was incredibly flavorful! We will absolutely come back soon.More

This place is awesome. Ditch Bar Harbor $$$$$$ prices and go here. Oh, my God! I know now that I am an unabashed lobster hog. I’d eat every meal here when visiting Acadia. It cannot be beat - anywhere.

We visit this area often but it was our first time trying Ruth & Wimpy’s. Things were still returning to normal after Covid-19 so we did takeout both nights we ate here. The food was fresh and delicious! The entire staff was nice as well...as accommodating and we look forward to enjoying dinner on their lovely patio in the future! Would highly recommend as a local favorite 😊More

Absolutely the worst food, service. and atmosphere I have ever experienced in the entire state of Maine. Huge waste of mone. The owners should be ASHAMED to call this disgusting sysvo grossness "food". Will never go back. Will disown my children if they ever go...back. It was that truly awful.More

Should have read the reviews before we went there. We were seated and given some rolls which looked pretty good until the flies started landing on them! No silverware. I thought maybe the waitress would notice. Nope! Got up and stole from several other tables....There were 6 of us. After about 45 minutes when our food still hasn’t come we decided to look up the reviews. Too little too late! My daughter kept saying let’s go. I said let’s give it a chance. Should have listened. Food finally came. My steak was so fatty I spit most of it in my napkin. My grandson had old food stuck to his plate! My boyfriend ordered the seafood platter for 20 bucks. The portion was for a child. His potato was tasteless. Instead of bringing all the food at once my daughter got her green beans about 5 minutes later. Waitress never checked on us. Really expensive for the quality of food! Won’t be back!More

We stopped here for dinner as they were closing. Instead of turning us away, they invited us in. Had a great dinner with great service.

I had been trying several others in the area and was really looking forward to trying this one (Week of 9/15/19 visit). It ended up being really disappointing - Hopefully it was just a "one off". My roll was just lobster meat on a toasted...hotdog bun .... No spices, no sauce, no moisture at all - Kind of dry. Ed MMore
