We were a party of ten people, celebrating a friend's birthday. Everyone ordered different meals. And pretty much everyone needed their meal to be "customized," as in "Please no crab meat on the salmon" or "I want my steak rare, but not THAT rare." Each meal was absolute perfection. Had he come into the room, the chef would have received... More

Wow. Wow. Wow. What a wonderful way to start the day, thank you! I'll be sure the chef sees your review; am sure he will appreciate your very kind words. So happy that you were equally pleased with your service in the dining room. Thank you for choosing to hold the birthday celebration at the Inn and thank you again... More

The night I went the restaurant was mildly busy, not crowded but there were quite a few tables filled. There was one young lady who was the Hostess, the Cocktail Waitress, the Bartender, the Waitress and was busing tables! She was absolutely incredible!! She managed to do, literally, everything, except cook and we have no proof she didn't do that... More

Thank you for your delightful review! We are fortunate to have a seasoned staff who can manage the front of the House with grace. The off season is tricky for scheduling; some nights are quite busy while others are rather slow. We're very pleased that you returned and that you enjoyed your dinner. Thank you again. More

Excellent food, excellent service, wonderful people! We had a business meeting in the Hancock-Washington County area and I am delighted we choose the Crocker House for our meals and lodging. Peaceful country setting and atmosphere.

We live an hour and a half away from The Crocker House. We love to go there for dinner especially in the Fall when the tourist season isn't crazed in Maine. Richard has owned this property for (gulp) 35 yrs. but we're selfish and hope he never retires. What a fantastic job he's done with this charming, special place. We've... More

Oh my... You had us at "Long Live King Richard". Thank you for your purrfectly-perfect review! Thank you for faithfully making the one and a half hour journey to dine at the Crocker House after all these years! And yes, Tim is (as always) priceless and we're so happy to have Brandi join us this season. Laura is an amazing... More

Rented a house nearby and with a late arrival we didn't want to travel far for dinner. Glad we didn't! The food was fresh and really delicious. The setting is a quintessential old Maine Inn.The Bluberry Margarita was excellent with tiny native blueberries. The wine list was adequate and reasonably priced. The garden salad dressing was so tasty. I ordered... More

Long established restaurant with excellent reputation among locals, and well-deserved. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. Menu was somewhat limited, but everything we tried in two trips was excellent. The Pate Mousse appetizer was first class. Location somewhat remote, but worth the trip.

Thank you for your lovely review! We're delighted the restaurant lived up to its reputation. True, the menu is limited (and changes very little) but that translates into a consistent dining experience. The Inn is a bit remote, especially since you're driving from Bangor. Sometime you might want to consider the off-season Get Away package for two, which includes: dinner, room... More

This place is a bit out of the way, but the drive there is beautiful. The food there is the best food you've ever had! The restaurant in is a cozy inn where you can spend the night if you wish. The food is so good here it's were I go every birthday, anniversary, and special occasion.

With so many great restaurants in the area, we are flattered that you've chosen the Crocker House to celebrate your special occasions. And you're right, 5 miles off of US Rte. 1 and down the Point Road is a bit of a trek, but as you said, the drive is beautiful ( drivers just have to keep an eye out... More

We are regulars here and we have never been anything but delighted with the experience. The food, atmosphere and service are amazing. I think I have had everything they offer and highly recommend any dish. We have also stayed at the inn and it was great. This is a must go to place in Downeast Maine!

Wow, that's quite a review title, thank you! I have to say it was especially appreciated because the last reviewer before you was "Disappointed". Not an inexpensive place, it does have a nice setting and ambiance. I ordered the large ribeye and my wife had the pork (oddly there is no chicken, which she prefers, on the menu.) Perhaps my expectations were set a bit high by the price (and my relatives who live in the area) raves for the food, but I found... More

Thank you for your review. We're glad you and your wife enjoyed elements of your meal but are terribly sorry you were disappointed with your rib-eye steak. Unfortunately, that particular cut of beef does have a band of fat that runs through it (which makes it quite tender, but necessitates some trimming on the dinner plate). We serve filet mignon... The dinner here was amazing - gourmet fresh, beautifully presented, colorful, and large portions. Worthy of any city known for its restaurants - and the plus here is that the site is on a quiet peninsula on the upper Maine coast. The walk around the point was a wonderful way to unwind after a long drive. Breakfast in the morning... More

Thank you very much for your lovely review! First time guests are often surprised by the menu, given our out-of-the-way location. Can't help but notice we didn't score a perfect 5 and sincerely hope it was due to something we have no control over (such as a water view from the Inn). Thank you for taking the time to write...
