Our dinner at Blue matched its remarkable location. The tournedos of beef and the service were excellent. The rich and tasty desserts will complete your fine dining experience at Blue.

After checking in late to the Inn due to delayed flights, the owners were kind enough to let us have dinner even though we had missed our reservation. The food was excellent and the restaurant is lovely, warm and welcoming. A definite must if you're...in the area.More

My wife and I visited for the first time and we had an enjoyable experience. You can't beat the view of one of Maine's prettiest coastal areas. I had the Maine Seafood Chowder and the Sesame-crusted Salmon. Both were good, but the chowder was seriously...lacking the "seafood" part. It had 2-3 bites of fish and 1 single oyster (I think). No scallops or lobster as suggested by the photo on their website. It was also the thick version of chowder and not the thinner version as suggested by their photos. The salmon was good but not spectacular. The sides were not very exciting (lackluster mashed potatoes and very bitter broccoli-rabe). My wife had the fettuccine with roasted vegetables and she enjoyed it. It was packed with veggies. My wife also had the chocolate mousse for dessert and she said it was also very good. This is not an inexpensive place to eat. Most entrees are in the $18-$38 range and the choices are limited. Salads are ridiculously expensive ($12) so we skipped those. Service was excellent and the surroundings are beautiful. For me, I was somewhat disappointed with my experience. While the food was good, I really expected something a bit more exciting for the price. There are lots of good restaurants in this area that are less expensive and more enjoyable from a food perspective. I'm not sure we' be repeat customers. It was good but just not memorable as we expected.More

Delicious and creative dining experience with the best coastal view on the Mid-coast! Entrees prepared with imagination and care -- such as the pan-seared salmon with maple-mustard barbecue sauce -- served with understated elegance. Always our anniversary restaurant (which they remember).

Great spot for a fabulous meal. Sent the "Today Show" to stay here when they came to Georgetown to film an episode at Sagadahoc Bay Campground. Thanks

Try to arrive early to enjoy a drink on the wraparound deck facing the water. Warm and friendly greeting and staff. The specials were creative, local, and tasty. Portions were larger than you’d expect for fine dining. Wine list was quite reasonably priced and chosen....Very enjoyable evening.More

Oh my!! From the moment we stepped onto the property I was so excited this was our choice for our anniversary dinner. The views from the quintessentially New England dining room are breathtaking. The dinner was wonderful. The wait staff attentive. We did not feel...rushed at all. PERFECTION! We will be back! Thank you!More

I had Pan Seared Tornadoes of Beef and my wife had Grilled Atlantic Salmon Filet. The meals were prepared with careful attention to blending spices in order to bring out the best in the entree. We have been to the Grey Havens Inn several times,...and have found that Blue is heads and above the best restaurant in the area. We look forward to returning.More

We stayed at Grey Havens Inn, and our dinner at Blue was tremendous. A very interesting menu, taking full advantage of the local seafood and farm fare nearby. Of course, the view of the ocean is without equal. Enjoy cocktails on the porch before dining!

First time eating at Blue and it did not disappoint! The homemade vanilla ice cream as dessert was just amazing. Eve and Dick were so gracious and lovely. Highly recommend! We got there a little early before our reservation and we ordered some cocktails on...the front porch and just took on the breathtaking view. We can't wait to come back!More

Fantastic dinner! We split the day's special halibut with mussels steamed in a delicious broth, served on a bed of lentils and barley. Paired that with tornados of filet topped with superb Maine blue cheese and onion jam. Seafood chowder to start was some of...the best we ever had.More

One of the most beautiful views in ALL of Maine. This is a romantic atmosphere, although our dinner was shared between friends. The porch is the definition of paradise. We saw seals swimming, and boats passing. The patrons were warm and friendly, and the service...was impeccable. We were greeted by the owner, and felt welcome and quite relaxed. The portions were perfect. The salads and dessert were highlights of the meal. The meal itself was fresh and tasty. We will definitely return. Added bonus-watching the harvest moonrise over the horizon! Unforgettable!More

My wife's soup was delicious, and so was my salad. The entrees were okay but not great. Her salmon was to come in a sauce of sweet potato and corn, which she said she'd prefer not to have, and so she got a slice of...salmon with no sauce at all, green beans and wild rice. I thought her salmon looked a bit overcooked; she said it was but still was good, even though they had left some skin on the underside. I debated between a baked white fish (hake, they said) and the "special", and chose the special, which was a mistake. It was flounder wrapped around a stuffing of seafood and cracker crumbs, in a sauce, described as tomato, which should have alerted me. The flounder came in two rolls, swimming in a rather harsh red tomato sauce. I tried to taste the fish and stuffing, but the sauce simply overwhelmed both. Also, I am not a fan of rice, but can enjoy wild rice; however, this was quite dry and less than what I would have liked. The green beans were... green beans. We enjoy salmon and other fish at home, but she does a much better job! We both feel that fish has a delicate flavor and needs to be prepared with lighter flavorings, not in an overpowering, heavy sauce. For dessert, she had a chocolate mousse that was excellent. I chose a "special" chocolate layer cake with raspberry drizzle. Unfortunately, the cake was very cold, and the butter frosting had solidified, making it a bit unpleasant. We enjoyed our evening together, but dinner was not up to par this time.More

Who would ever expect to find a restaurant this amazing this far off the beaten path? The setting is lovely, overlooking an Atlantic inlet . . and the food is delicious. We had the special of the evening, char grilled swordfish, which was soooooo good....If you're going to central Maine, Blue is definitely a destination restaurant that will not disappoint.More

I come to Blue several times each summer and am never disappointed. Arrive early and enjoy a cocktail on the fabulous porch with a beautiful view. You will be greeted by Eve and will then have an amazing meal. Last night we started off with...fabulous home made bread. I then the most delicious appetizer of warm figs and strawberries with goat cheese and balsamic vinegar. Next was perfectly cooked beef tournedos with a mashed potato mixture of sweet and white potatoes (yum!) and broccolini. My meal ended with one of the best desserts I've ever had: chocolate waffles with a chocolate ganache, chocolate crumbs, hazelnuts and raspberry sauce. It was fantastic! I would be in heaven if I could have this meal every night of my life! Can't wait to return.More
