Such nice people, decent music, quirky art/decor, free wi-fi, and a little adjoining bookstore with proceeds going to the Gardiner Public Library. Also, tasty cheap Mexican is not easy to find in the Kennebec area.

Yum!! Every visit I try to mix it up a bit - we have favorites (I'm a vegetarian, heat-lover who also orders meat dishes for my mild-palated other half - and keeps track of his feedback) -- and we both manage to develop MORE favorites every time! Really, you just can't go wrong with fresh ingredients, an eye to fantastic... More

We happened upon Lisa's while in Gardiner and thought that the place looked fun and inviting. Upon entering, there were about 8 patrons already seated and eating. Lisa greeted us with a warm welcome and when she found out it was our first time there, she gave us the rundown on her foods. She slow cooks beef, chicken and pork... More

We'd heard about Lisa's Legit Burritos ever since they opened...but had never been in until a recent "festival weekend" in downtown Gardiner. We found Lisa's to be a very casual, very comfortable, no-pretentions kind of place for a delicious lunch. All of the tacos, burritos, and other items are made-to-order -- once you choose the item(s) you want, the staff... More

Love the food, usually have a burrito but my b-f had an enchilada that was tasty as well. The people are friendly and the food is made to order while you wait. Looking forward to going back!

If you like happy employees, welcoming enjoyable atmosphere and GREAT Mexican food, then Lisa's legit burritos are for you! Im usually very picky with Mexican. Not a big fan of onions and lettuce and beans, (basically think When Harry met Sally, when Sally orders food...That's me!) It was no problem! Each order is customized to the customer!

You get a warm greeting here from Lisa, and the place is air-conditioned, small, and idiosyncratic. Lisa maintains a used bookstore to aid the public library and there are tables and couches. We had burritos, one pork, one chicken. They were as good as you'll get in Maine, I would say, and cheap. We enjoyed it, having boated up from... More

I actually didn't eat there. there were 2 people in the restaurant and they appeared to already have their food, yet I was told we wouldn't see our food for at least 20 minutes ( I was on lunch break from work).

This place has no pretensions Lisa and the other staff were friendly and welcoming. Families are encouraged so its good not to be too kid averse. It's noisy and friendly. Free wi-fi worked great. I had a burrito which was wonderful. I would go there again.

I have only had the beef burrito and the jumbo hotdog. Both were very good! Friendly service, cute, funky décor, reasonable prices. Located in downtown Gardiner, they have also opened a second eatery in downtown Augusta.
