Isabella's was packed when I visited. No seats open, long line to the door. Everything I wanted it to be. Food was great, service was amazing. They were so nice how they treated everyone, scrambled to take care of everyone and keep everything clean and...More

My family stayed in Freeport for a week before moving into our new home in Gray. Isabella's became our breakfast staple during that week. Their western omelette is the best I've had in over 30 years. The rest of my family was addicted to the...More

I didn't feel like a large lunch or a place with a large crowd, so checked TA and found this place. I had turkey noodle soup and a 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich on wheat. The soup was very tasty and the sandwich was good too....More

Downstairs you will find Isabella’s Cafe and Bakery amidst mix matched tables and chairs and a “tired” looking little cafe. Nearly every table was full and filled with delicious looking sandwiches and soup. I tried the haddock chowder that was a bit loose but good...More

Following a hearty B.L.T sandwich at a nearby market, I stopped by Isabella’s for one of their well-known sticky buns. It definitely lives up to its reputation with its wonderful yeasty bun and gooey pecan topping. Enough said. Visiting Freeport later today. Can’t stop thinking...More

Isabella's is a local joint and is somewhat small. You order @ the counter and they will bring you your food. The scones were pretty good. The Pancakes were ok but with some real maple syrup they could have been better.

Real discovery! Grands wore us out at Shermsn’s Bookstore and we all needed lunch. Hos about underground? Under the store? Yup — isabella’s short-changes itself calling itself a cafe and bakery. Pretty complete light meal menu on the wall to start. We went for bacon...More

Description
We strive to create a warm and friendly cafe that reminds you of home cooking. We prepare all of our food from scratch using fresh ingredients and family recipes. Next time you're in Freeport, stop on by for breakfast, lunch, and of course one of our famous sticky buns! A long time feature of Freeport, Maine, Isabella's Cafe has recently come under new ownership by Caite Maynard. Caite has worked in the food industry for over 40 years; she is renowned for her baking, soup, and her attention to customer service. Isabella's Cafe now focuses on fresh food made by hand, using locally-sourced ingredients and family recipes; breakfast and lunch are available all day, and Caite's passion for baking results in a bakery case filled with delicious items from cookies, muffins, and scones, and the homemade sticky bun bread pudding is not to be missed!
