We found this place when looking for lunch that was affordable and we could bring in a stroller. We each had soup and a sandwich and a dessert. Affordable and tasty. Would go often if I lived near there.

Opens at 7 - but the doors weren't opened til 7:10 because the owner's dog had a bad night (so we were told). And then - no sticky buns or cinnamon rolls! Told they were in the oven and would be at least 10-15 minutes (but have to admit, we thought we would at least smell them baking???? But no.)... More

I was excited to try this place after reading the reviews but was quite disappointed. The prices were reasonable but part way into my sandwich I found mold in my bread.

Came here on a Sunday morning. The place was quiet and offered a picnic bench to eat outside (weather was warm so we took advantage)! The woman behind the counter was warm, friendly, and most important she was welcoming. The food was delicious, she brewed a fresh pot of coffee; she served us outside. Highly recommend Sticky Buns for a... More

It looks grubby, the decor is basic to say the least, service is slow and the staff - a woman serving and an older woman slopping the floor with a grey mop - are unprofessional. It was a dreary and depressing experience

Each time I have visited Isabella's I have had good, tasty food, be it breakfast treats or healthy sandwiches for lunch. The staff have always been very friendly.

Very friendly service. I selected a variety of pastries. The sticky buns were amazing. I would buy more next time.

Funky foods, average service, hardly ever open when people actually eat---not impressed with this place at all.

Been here 3 years in a row during our shopping trip. Small-maybe 6 tables. Fills up quick. Everything made there. Nice options. Top your salad with fresh made tuna salad or curry chicken salad. Friendly staff. Menu has breakfast and lunch options. There are always specials. Order at the counter have a seat with your beverage. Staff brings your meal.

Description
We strive to create a warm and friendly cafe that reminds you of home cooking. We prepare all of our food from scratch using fresh ingredients and family recipes. Next time you're in Freeport, stop on by for breakfast, lunch, and of course one of our famous sticky buns! A long time feature of Freeport, Maine, Isabella's Cafe has recently come under new ownership by Caite Maynard. Caite has worked in the food industry for over 40 years; she is renowned for her baking, soup, and her attention to customer service. Isabella's Cafe now focuses on fresh food made by hand, using locally-sourced ingredients and family recipes; breakfast and lunch are available all day, and Caite's passion for baking results in a bakery case filled with delicious items from cookies, muffins, and scones, and the homemade sticky bun bread pudding is not to be missed!
