Visiting Freeport during a steady downpour, we were looking for a quick lunch and were offered a coupon for this place. It's essentially a shack, nothing to look at, and menu offerings were chowder and "fryer food" - burgers, fries, chicken fingers, etc. Very small...More

After a day of riding around, ready for food. We went to the Chowder House. We had some doubt when we walked in. The one person working had a don't care attitude. The area could use a little cleaning. My wife ordered the seafood chowder...More

I tried the chowder and felt there is room for improvement. It is somewhat bland and could use some onion, less potato and more clam bouillion. The sign says the chowder has won awards. Really?More
