have eaten there many times, food ok but ordered chicken parm and got just pasta no chicken! When we paid for the meal, the waitress rounded UP the bill to even number!! Excuse me - you should NEVER do that!!!!! Don't know if we will...ever go back!More
We visited Antonia's this evening excited to have a break from many lobsters on our last night in Maine. I'll start with the positive. The food was quite good! The pizza was cooked perfectly and very enjoyable. My wife enjoyed the chicken kebob, although we...are not entirely sure she got what she ordered. Give the food a win.
Now the bad. Service was simply awful. We appreciate service and are generous with our gratuities even when getting average service. We sat down and the server came over for our drink order which was two glasses of water. The server then disappeared for 20 minutes and only appeared after another table asked a different server what happened to the person helping them and us. The server eventually showed up with the water, took our order which included dinners salads, and then disappeared again for well over 15 minutes. The server returned with the dinners salads including the wrong one which I took anyway having been now sitting and waiting for 45 minutes. We started to eat our salads and suddenly the dinners were there. We had to rush through the salads to ensure our dinners remained warm. The server then disappeared again never returning to ask about the dinner or fill the water glasses. When the server finally returned, it was with the check and never bothering to ask if we wanted anything else.
We are not complainers and rarely write reviews but this experience was extremely annoying.
We got a recommendation to visit here while traveling. Great place! Our waitress, Angel, was funny and attentive. Our pizza was AMAZING!! Marguerita Pizza and Hercules pizza. I’m thinking the best we’ve ever had. This was a win all around!
While I am aware that covid has changed just about everything there are some things that should have remained unblemished and unchanged and Antonia's has dropped to an all time low. The food sucks period. this was a Sunday night when they weren't busy. Other...meals I have had there have shown signs of deterioration over the past 6 months and frankly I didn't think it could get that much worse but it has. My daughter ordered the dinner portion of pasta alfredo and what arrived was an appetizer sized portion with an excuse for alfredo sauce that remined me of watered down library paste. Even the salad was brown around the edges of the lettuce. At $13.95 for fifty cents worth of linguini with tasteless alfredo sauce and yesterday's lettuce my only question is: How do you plan to sty in business long term? AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. I have no doubt that they will close up shortly and blame the covid instead of the rotten cheap portions and terrible food.More
Usually go here for pizza or gyros. Changed it up tonight with a very good spaghetti and meatballs and a superb chicken souvlaki dinner. And the bread and side Greek salad were both excellent. Can't go wrong.
pizzas were very good. The fried calamari is another story. My wife and i come in every couple months to get what was great calamari and two small pizzas. the calamari was a big let down they were not as crunchy as they have been...the taste was off not a bad taste just different. I wanted to try your Fresh Maine Crab Melt but was told that was only in the warmer weather. It should state that on the menu. You did have the best calamari in Freeport not now that goes to the Lobster cooker, sorry.More
