Conundrum is a wine bar a little off the beaten path. I expected it to be in town Freeport where all the tourists frequent, but you have to drive a few miles out of town to get there. When you walk in the front door, there is a small bar and a few smaller intimate tables in the main room.... More

The innkeeper at Kendall Tavern recommended this restaurant to us and the suggestion was on point! My son and I shared the wings and pizza and both were superb. The service was impeccable and extremely cordial and the food was perfectly prepared and delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is going to be in the Freeport... More

Dinner outside on a Wed. Evening. Arrived after 7:30, no problem getting a table. My husband ordered the burger and thought it was wonderfully seasoned. I got the pork chop, great favoring, tender, and good side dishes. Nice beer selection, and nice wine by the glass selection. EnjoyM

Food here is excellent and prepared and served with much care. The menu changes regularly and never gets boring. The owner, Vinnie, is super nice and makes a point to visit and make you feel welcome. Very reasonable prices, great bar with experienced bartenders and very good service. Indoor and covered (and heated) outdoor seating. Very cozy place and again... More

Great food, with a fantastic beer and wine menu! Located right under the BFI. A local favorite. Definitely worth a stop in if you're in the Freeport area.

My husband and I have been here many times and always have a great experience. The food is awesome and the owner Vinny always accommodates me as i do not eat dairy or meat. He's also very knowledgeable with the Wines.

The waitress was incredibly rude. I came with friends to relax after work. We are quiet professionals who were simply looking to enjoy our time together. She didn't introduce herself and when we asked to try a few wines, she acted like it was a chore. We waited for 20 minutes to try a wine. She came back over and... More

Conundrum has been our regular stomping ground when my husband and I are in town. Vinny has a wonderful selection of wines, and is great at introducing us to new ones. His staff is well versed in good wines and good food/wine pairings. Conundrum is extremely comfortable, even when packed- mostly a "locals" haunt, it is the kind of place... More

Conundrum is a restaurant where the owner obviously cares about quality of food, wine, and service. Looking for a restaurant of the same quality of Portland's best without having to deal with parking issues? (And not as pricey...) Conundrum is it! Warm and cozy with perfect, romantic lighting as well. And a casual outdoor extension to the dining room with... More
