We stopped in here after a day of driving the county to see the sites. We were in md to late afternoon. We were essentially the only folks in. The staff was friendly enough, nothing over the top. The meals were good and served hot.

We enjoyed having lunch here. Our meals of sandwiches, chowder, fries and onion rings were all very good, along with the staff and the service.

We got here just as the rain started and were able to get a table right off (we were on atvs). The staff was kind and knowledgeable. Our food all came as ordered and it was very good. My wife and son did the fish...and chips and loved it. Everyone left full or overfull.More

Poutine is French Fries with Cheese Curd covered with Brown Gravy. I ordered a Chopped Beef Steak and upgraded to Poutine. Poutine was originally a dish from Quebec. Fort Kent is on the Canadian border. You can look across the river and see Canada. The...Steak was good and the Poutine was definitely something everyone should try when in this area. My wife had the Baked Halibut, which she enjoyed. The decor is interesting and reflects the region.More

Came here with my son after driving 600 km, we were hungry! We started with the clam chowder; it wasn't made with local ingredients. It was rather bland... We both had a big burger, don't recall the name, but it was good!. The local craft...beer was good, it was a wheat ale of some sort.More

Food and selection looked very appetizing. Looked forward to a meal this far north after driving from North Carolina. Alas, after waiting an hour after ordering with no explanation of why, we walked out with no food delivered. Place was very busy when we arrived...but most were finished when we walked.More

What a treat. I had their special which was a chicken pesto panini. Mom had the Cajun fish sandwich. Both delicious. Waitress darling!

My Mom lives in Fort Kent, so whenever I am up north for a visit we invariably have lunch at least once at the Swamp Buck. The food is always consistently good for the type of restaurant that it is. The haddock chowder, taco salad...and their seasoned french fries are all excellent. I read a bad review earlier and couldn’t believe it because that has never been my experience there and Mom and I have been going there for years. Their staff is always friendly and accommodating.More

I keep going back, tried all the others. It has a relaxed, unpretentious environment with great draght beer selections, decent food. Servers are all great. Wish there were more vegetarian choices.
