Maine has a tremendous share of long-term family owned businesses that cater to locals and tourists alike. A great tribute to the tremendous work ethic here. That being said many of these will not stray from what has worked for years. I'm a carnivore to the core and nothing is more rewarding than a properly prepared burger. My first response... More

Harmon's is a unique place. It maybe seats 20, and it is known for burgers and only burgers. Service is "take a number, they'll call your number" and menu is slim. If you want a burger though, great place to go. Rolls are super soft and burgers are small so consider two. Often listed as one of the best burgers... More

average greasy burgers prepared as you read negative signage about Obama and related to his loss of business. No mention of fact that loss of business may be related to poker games that occur in establishment,, further eroding the local neighborhood. Other than that...Zumba !

This place is what it is......an old hamburger shack, known for its loaded cheese burger that's still under $3!! Red relish and fried onions are what make them great little burgers. Also try the fresh-battered onion rings. Friendly folks, old style atmosphere and oddly crave-able food!

I have driven by Harmon's Lunch for years. It is usually packed so I finally got the chance to stop in and see what all the hoopla was about. They offer a very simple menu of hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, ice cream and shakes. Beware they are a CASH only business. I ordered a single hamburger with ketchup... More

Fortunately we live near Harmon's. It's not just a burger they produce, it's an artifact. Many articles have been written about this legendary roadside attraction! They still use one griddle and one person doing the cooking. Their secret may be the sweet pepper relish or the fried onions that smother the burger.

Harmon's has been around for more than 50 years...and the food is just as good as when Mr. Harmon was cooking. The burgers are so very tasty...get them loaded,,,mustard, relish, and cooked onion. Add a bit of celery salt and you are eating them like a real Mainer. The hot dogs are also very good. They now have French fries but I... More

Nothing special abut Harmon's lunch other than it's all cash, burgers are small so if you have a hearty appetite get 2 or 3. Burgers are good, fries are great (fresh cut, not frozen) and served with vinegar. Yum. Parking can be a challenge. Staff very pleasant. Get a loaded burger or two and put an inexpensive lunch smile on... More

Harmon's has been around forever...small inside, with counter seating, but in nicer weather there are lots of picnic tables all around ouside. They have the best hamburgers/cheeseburgers around...a bit on the greasy side, but that's what makes the hamburgers so good...that's what makes it the famous Harmon's. Also known for their sautéed onions and their red relish. Handcut fries...their other... More

Reading the glowing reviews here I went in expecting a lot & I was not disappointed. The hamburgers were tender and tasty, quite different in texture from the chain burgers (which I like too in most cases). The steamed buns were a welcome change from standard grilled versions. The homemade fries and onion rigs were delicious as well. I love... More
