Delicious, high quality Indian and Sri Lankan food with dairy free option (e.g. Chicken Tikka Masala) , vegan options including - Cashew curry with egglant, that had generous portions of cashews. Mango lassi was well-made (i.e. not sickly sweet). Friendly staff that includes the owner.
Delicious, home made Indian and Sri Lanka dishes. Almost licked my plate ! The coriander dip that comes with the Naan bread is so good that I always ask for more. Wonderful service !
My wife and I first wanted to attend another restaurant in the area but they were closed so we wandered down the street and boy are we glad we did. The food was excellent. We got lucky and were able to get seating when we...walked in but I highly recommend making reservations as we watched lots of people get turned away that didn't have reservations. The food was tasty, and we were very happy with our meal. The ambiance is a bit lacking, and the service staff dress code really too casual, but overall we would eat here again as we really enjoyed the food.
The food was absolutely fantastic! I’m sad that I only got to eat here once on my vacation. I will definitely be recommending it to friends. I had the palak paneer and squash curry…sooo good!
Exceptional food and service a real gem. Visited twice Goat Curry to die for and the spicy 🌶 chicken wings best I have had. You can even buy the sauce to take home. Highly recommend and really good value also. 😍👏

We ordered cashew curry chicken, lamb meat balls, eggplant and wild boar, and all were phenomenal. The flavors were unique and rich and the service was excellent. This restaurant is a rare find!
How fortunate are we to have this excellent ethnic eatery on Main Street! Every item that we have tried on the menu is divine. The only downside is weight gain the morning after.
After reading several reviews about Serendib we decided to order 3 dishes (take-out) and were very pleasantly surprised! This was our first experience with Sri Lankan food. Full of flavors and interesting spices! We will definitely go back to Serendib when we’re in the area...again!More
I am writing a review for all those people who are looking for Indian curries living in and around Ellsworth. I highly recommend it, being an Indian I find their food close to my taste buds and the quantity is also good. We ate goat...curry, mushroom korma and chicken mix rice with Naan bread. For a total bill of $54 for 4 people which was not bad. Go for it.More
My husband and I have always loved the food and friendly atmosphere and service here, but Serendib shines more than ever during the ongoing pandemic. While many restaurants have been offering take out, the sad truth is that most dishes don't survive the trip home...very well and end up disappointing. Not so with Serendib! Thoughtfully packaged and appropriately separated, all our selections over these months have reheated (or stayed chilled) at home to perfection. Everything about our visits has been exceptional. We had driven by this restaurant a few times, were curious, and, one night stopped in. We walked into a bustling and very happy place with intoxicating hints of what's to come floating from the kitchen. I'd fallen...in love with Indian (and Sri Lanken) food while living in New York City but had never found anything to compare. This restaurant brought me right back. It is small with an exceptional staff that makes it all seem so easy and comfortable. They also do take out, which is just as wonderful.More
Our son and daughter-in-law took us. Their teen daughter and a friend also. Son knows Indian food fairly well, but staff was excellent at explaining the menu and sauces. Even though it is basically one large open room it was surprisingly quiet. We could easily...chat between ourselves. They have a good wine & beer list. Well worth a visit.More
We thoroughly enjoyed our visits to Serendib this season. Each time visit we like to try different dishes...all have been terrific and filling. We are frequently in town on Sunday and wish they would be open for other than special events. Can’t wait to return...to enjoy next year!More
