The food was excellent, we had seafood (5 different dishes) it tasted like each item was cooked in its own fresh oil, warm homemade bread, salad that was crisp and cold, and onion rings that were the best I have ever eaten. Dessert looked good but no room to try it. Recommend it highly, only disappointment was we were hoping... More

Nice varied menu. Several seafood choices and many other choices from burgers and sandwiches to full dinner entrees. I opted for an open faced Reuben on gluten free toast and substituted a baked potato rather than fries. Got coleslaw for my other side, which was very good, on the recommendation of our terrific waitress Jean. Hubby had the hot roast... More

Recommended by our motel, we went there for dinner. My husband wanted lobster, and the lobster boiled dinner was $17.99 that night. He enjoyed it. I had the haddock sandwich. Very fresh fish. Family budget prices, clean restaurant and good food. Friendly staff. They are supposedly famous for the pie but they didn't have much selection left, and we did... More

good baked potato and onion rings, $25 of lobster meat was overcooked and extremely chewy. We will not go back.

Love Helen's...had lunch here with my brother and my husband. Didn't take a lot of photos...but the food is still great, fresh, and homemade. Great haddock chowder (we ordered three) and the best homemade pies...quite a collection! Fresh baked daily. Same premise as Helen's up in Machias, but different owners. My brother had the Thursday boiled dinner special...my husband had... More

Great service; food is good. The salad is large, though they only use iceberg, which is not my favorite and is quite tasteless. I had the fried scallops and they were delicious. My husband had the turkey dinner and he said it was delicious. They used to be known for their pies, but, after eating a slice there, I wouldn't... More

My wife and I stayed at a hotel just a few minutes away. We saw this restaurant on one of our trips, and decided to try it. Yes! I worked out. My wife had the broiled haddock, and I got the parmesan-crusted haddock, a dish I had never seen anywhere before. What a pleasant, and delicious, surprise! Our meals were... More

We and no idea this stop would be so enjoyable. As someone else mentioned, we came here from a recommendation by the owner of the cottages where we stayed. Full on lobster meal at a very reasonable price and GREAT service. We finished up with blueberry pie and coffee. We would go back again if in the area.
