Our tour group stopped for dinner and were impressed with the service and the staff. The selections on the menu were numerous and varied. I thoroughly enjoyed a Grilled Cheese with Bacon Sandwich. The Wild Maine Blueberry Pie was the best we had eaten during our time in Maine. A tip...order your pie first to ensure they won't run out... More

We had a pleasant meal at this restaurant. My husband had the lobster, which he loved, my dad had clam chowder which he thought was delicious and I had the roast beef. It was very good! We all shared some blueberry pie a al mode and thought it was very good. Not overly sweet. We liked that. This is a... More

We stopped in here for lunch on a Tuesday. Definitely popular amongst the senior demographic! We had the onion rings for an appetizer. Very good, enough for two to share. One of the specials was a hot chicken sandwich, which came with choice of potato, coleslaw, scoop of dressing (good) and cranberries. Plenty of chicken in the sandwich, not a... More

My husband and I were exhausted from a busy day of traveling. Before we retired to our motel, we stopped for dinner at Helen's. Helen's was clean, friendly and had great food. It reminded me of one of our favorite restaurants back home. The homemade pies were awesome also!

We had lobster at Helen's and it was very good and quite inexpensive. The interior is OK but not on par with the food. Staff very friendly and attentive, so all in all, it is a good alternative while in Ellsworth.

We were looking for good seafood and regional food but were not interested in the more popular touristy spots. We asked at our hotel for a recommendation and they suggested a couple of places. I found Helen's on TripAdvisor and it appeared to be what we were looking for. It was. Helen's offered a large variety of seafood and family... More

The food was excellent, we had seafood (5 different dishes) it tasted like each item was cooked in its own fresh oil, warm homemade bread, salad that was crisp and cold, and onion rings that were the best I have ever eaten. Dessert looked good but no room to try it. Recommend it highly, only disappointment was we were hoping... More

Nice varied menu. Several seafood choices and many other choices from burgers and sandwiches to full dinner entrees. I opted for an open faced Reuben on gluten free toast and substituted a baked potato rather than fries. Got coleslaw for my other side, which was very good, on the recommendation of our terrific waitress Jean. Hubby had the hot roast... More

Recommended by our motel, we went there for dinner. My husband wanted lobster, and the lobster boiled dinner was $17.99 that night. He enjoyed it. I had the haddock sandwich. Very fresh fish. Family budget prices, clean restaurant and good food. Friendly staff. They are supposedly famous for the pie but they didn't have much selection left, and we did... More

good baked potato and onion rings, $25 of lobster meat was overcooked and extremely chewy. We will not go back.
