A pleasant place with friendly servers. I do go here on occasion. I feel the food is of a chain restaurant quality. I've had fried haddock here and it was not bad. Their specialty is pies, which they have a display case full, but they always look exactly the same like the came from a factory not made there. I've... More

We came here on the recommendation of the owner of the cabin where we were staying. The onion rings were delicious, and their blueberry pie has won awards. As for the dinner menu, we ordered a wide variety of dishes, from salad to burgers to pot roast to fish -- all delicious.

Stopped into Helen's to get an early supper and to escape the high prices in Bar Harbor. Our waitress was great, we order some beers to go with our dinner and the waitress said she could go for one herself, I told her to have a seat. The food was pretty good but the service was even better.

When I saw Helen's i thought how could it be good? I was so wrong. It may look a bit shabby but the food was so good. We had lunch and the ruben was great and the steak and cheese wrap was divine.

we stopped in for lunch and loved it. We both had the fried haddock and it was fresh and nicely cooked. Not over battered. The tartar sauce tasted homemade. The onion rings were good too. Highly recommended.

Been to Helens a couple of times. Good food, friendly service, great pie! Dinner in Ellsworth it's a super choice!! Loved the chowder and steak I had last time. Get the pie to go when you are full and you won't regret it!

Reasonable prices has a little bit of everything with a great selection of PIE. I had a blueberry cream pie which I've never had, you do get your fill of blueberries. Also had a clam roll with a good size partition of whole belly clams. So if you're ever headed downeast make this a pit stop.

Conveniently located near motels and shopping centers in Ellsworth. Service was relaxed but good. I had salmon - cooked perfectly! This restaurant offers a good, healthy break from fast food. Locally owned, with typical Maine decor and menu. Family Friendly.
