Breakfast was very good. Sylvia ' s makes their own hash. None of the canned stuff. It is nice and crispy. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast. Pancakes were good too. They have an all you can eat challenge. It looks doable, just not sure about that biscuit. It was huge.

If you didn't know where this place was, you'd drive by it. The crowd is 90% locals, and the food is very good and prices are reasonable. I had the 2 pancakes, sausage and home fries special and added blueberries to the pancakes and got a bowl of baked beans. The baked beans were home made and excellent. I highly... More

Based on TA ratings, we found this strip mall location. Small facility with wall murals depicting local outdoor activities. Wait time since the cafe was very busy. Friendly, prompt service. Usual Maine breakfast options, which includes the Hibernator-a really, really big breakfast. Coffee is included with breakfast options. Breakfast is served all day. Recommend you find this cafe and enjoy.

Great stop for breakfast! Everything was fresh, fresh, fresh! Prices were reasonable and our service was good. Bathrooms are out the door and down the hall, but easy to find before getting back on the road. Even though the place was BUSY, waitress took time to go get a coffee cup for me to buy as a girt for my... More

Stopped on our way home from Acadia for breakfast. Place was busy but we were able to be seated right away. Nothing fancy, just good breakfasts (blueberry pancakes) and friendly service.

Breakfast places in the Gouldsboro, Hancock, Ellsworth are far and few between. Tried this place because we didn't want to drive to Bar Harbor that morning. There was a server who had dak hair in a pony tail and tattoos. She was very rude and unhelpful. Luckily she didn't end up being our server. We had Pat who was nicer.... More

Sorry you had a bad experience with the service. I know who the server is you are speaking of and will for sure bring this review to her attention. It will be addressed. The fact that our open kitchen is a "turn off" for you is not something I understand. We have been a "diner" style eatery for thirty tears... More

I am a breakfast girl..it is my favorite meal, so I love to find a place that I can add to my "go to" list! Very clean, nothing fancy and located in a low key row of stores, but don't let that deter you. The menu had plenty of choices, some pretty unusual. The place was packed with locals, many... More

As I said in the title the wait staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming but the breakfast food we had (pancakes) were very disappointing. I guess they used some sort of boxed mix. The taste of baking soda or baking powder would linger for a few hours after. Ugh.

Glad you enjoyed the service. Sorry the pancakes were not right. I can,t explain why they would be offering a lingering taste of baking powder or soda. I am not saying they did not. I just don't know why they would. Its not a response I have received EVER in criticism of our pancakes. People love them. Tons. My prep... More

We came here on the recommndation of our cabin's owner. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive and quite quick given how busy it was when we were there. All five of our meals were tasty, only our children couldn't finish their portions.

A local anchor. Food and prices are good. Clean dining room. Not much variety, but a stable menu. Fast and friendly service.

Thanks for the review. Thanks for pointing out that our food and prices are good as well. We are the ONLY breakfast restaurant in Ellsworth to offer homemade toast at no additional charge. Or substitute the free homemade toast with a fresh baked muffin or biscuit. no additional charge. Have a bagel instead of toast if you want. No charge.... More
