Never been here before I had crab and avocado sandwich very good and very filling my friend had Thai wrap that she enjoyed it was quite messy but tasty she took half home to eat later. Staff very attentive not much of an atmosphere about the place but pleasant and good value.

Was not planning to have lunch here on a Saturday afternoon, but stepped inside when our first choice in town had too long of a wait. On a lark we tried the latkes as a appetizer. Oh my, Scrumptious! Lightly browned, tasty in their own right, but out of sight with the home made chutney and sour cream. Then for... More

Pumpkinfest weekend. Service was fine and from the photos that other guests have taken we were looking forward to a really good meal. The seafood grill tasted good, but presentation was really poor - all the elements of the dish ended up a beige color with nothing to brighten it up. I really regret not taking a photo. The paella... My first visit to this local place included my mother, who struggled with the steep stairs, but no one offered any help or a lower level table. The amazing seafood soup she had was great, but the french onion was not flavorful. There were kid choices which were good. Later trips found many menu items are worth the money.

Came for dinner on a Tuesday evening. Friendly and welcoming staff, food was fresh, creative, and mostly local sourcing. Salad in particular was a highlight, and oysters were some of the best we've had. If we lived here we would be regulars.

Went here over the Pumpkinfest weekend, so had limited expectations. However, it was really good, with well paced friendly service. Huevos rancheros were tasty-(we weren't sure if ONLY the eggs should be hot)- the homefries and tortillas certainly weren't. But after a couple of glasses of French Champagne, we were very happy with the dish. We followed with a stack... More

This is a popular restaurant in Damariscotta. I believe this is because it has the largest alcohol list, is the noisest and has a feeling of being upscale (compared to some others in Damariscotta). The problem is the taste of the food didn't live up to the hype. I had seafood paella and found it was a bit one note,... More

The staff seems to know that they are the best year round restaurant in the area. One of us selected a "very good" scallop fettuccine. One of us selected a "good" salmon salad. I selected an expensive lobster (canned or frozen) fettuccine... "A Big Mistake" 3 glasses of low end wine....1 beer....1 creme breule.. 3 people.= $200... not so bad... More

Damariscotta River Grill was awesome! The food was great. We both had tenderloin steak and lobster cakes. Delicious all the way around. Our waitress Marina did a fantastic job. We will definitely go back the next time we are in town.

Number one rated place in town and we had high expectations. Have a fun speciality drink menu but that may have been highlight of evening. Oysters were good but clam chowder was more like potato soup, lots of spuds and very few clams. Salads were good with good house made dressings. Got the lobster risotto and ricotta was undercooked. Also... More
