Fairly decent old school waterfront restaurant with good seafood selections and good waterfront dining options. Long original bar and restaurant area with a new covered deck recently constructed. Also open seating outside for those sunny days. Service was a little mixed up with various servers working different tables and not really a busy night. Food quality and portions were good.... More

It was a beautiful day to sit on the deck and watch the boats in the bay. The local mussels for an appetizer was perfect for 2. The haddock sandwich was so fresh, don't miss the the onion rings either When I return to the charming town of Castine, there is only one place to eat for me, Dennett's Wharf.

Too-typical, too-expensive, very-average waterfront restaurant in a tourist area. Drinks were only fair in spite of bartender's hype, food was plenty edible but certainly nothing special, waiter was abysmally inattentive, and bill was high. Though inclined to leave shortly after finishing our meal, set up of a live band encouraged us to stay a bit longer. What a mistake this... More

No real surprise. Fresh lobster was great. Nice setting on wharf. Excellent service! Great for lunch and dinner.

WE were visiting this area and decided to try this restaurant- and are we glad we did. The scenery is wonderful, quaint and well maintained. The clam chowder was wonderful. We really enjoyed walking along the warf after we ate.

Waterside, good bar, occasional entertainment, varied menu, good service: Dennetts Wharf checks all the boxes.

I had one of the best lobster dishes. On an abbreviated menu due to a chef who had an accident, Lobster Pot Pie was listed. It came in a nice sized ramekin with lobster in a newberg sauce, topped with a piece of puff pastry, accompanied by sweet corn on the cob and seared asparagus. My wife and I both... More

Great location, with nice view. Unfortunately they were out of shrimp, oysters, muscles, and just about anything that likely isn't frozen and deep fried. We tried the burger (pass on that), salmon (not very good), kids did like the fried clams. Service was ok. Pretty spendy...

As the real estate ads go -- this is the location. Right on the harbor and you can eat out on picnic tables under umbrellas, 'inside - under canopy' with plastic curtains and plastic tables and chairs or at times (not sure if all times) at the bar. The bar looks lovely and I would call to be certain it... More

Came for lunch and sat outside on the deck. Beautiful views! Started with oysters on the half shell which were great. I had the beet and goat cheese salad which was ok. It hasd teeny tiny pieces of beets. My husband had a cheeseburger and fries which he said was really good. Our first bloody mary was excellent. My husband's... More
