A bit different then previous visits - still a great view and friendly service but food seemed not up to par with past experiences at this restaurant. Lobster roll ok, salmon delicious, the consistency of the chowder was not to my liking as I prefer it thicker and creamier. Overall a good experience. Get there early for a table and... More

The staff here actually seem happy.....they're so friendly! And the food is very good too with a good solid hamburger for the non fish eaters. But the lobster roll was pretty good too. And the desserts are to die for. The place is tiny and way out of the way from anything else (except 2 restaurants it's attached to).....but worth... More

If you like funky and fun, this is the place for you. There is a limited menu but it seems that the kitchen does it all well. We shared the clams (finally realizing Maine has large portions). The French fries were good too. Beer was cold. I never saw anyone send anything back. My personal favorite was seeing a George... More

We love The Ramp...in the fall. We were there are couple of weeks ago with friends and did wait for a table but not for too long. And sitting outside at sunset was lovely. Once inside we were seated at one of the tables towards the back where the view is obstructed by the other patrons and it was HOT... More

As a regular summer patron of The Ramp for the past 15 years and hearing that it had new owners, I was concerned to read some negative reviews recently. While I believe the reviewers were sincere and might have reflected their honest experience, I can report my wife and I were there last night and found The Ramp has not... More

we were early for the full restaurant to be open, but no bother, as we found a table in the snug bar. it was a hot day and the place could use a few more fans but still... Started with mussels to share, delicious. not a drop of the broth went uneaten. Chowder very good. and then the entrees...hmmmm. the... More

The Ramp is a small rustic place with very unique sports and political memorabilia. There are many great conversation pieces. However, the food is average and overpriced. Once you see the menu and eat the food you feel you walked into a tourist trap. We had fun but I would not visit again or recommend It to friends.

What used to be my absolute favorite place to eat out in the Kennebunkport area served up a very disappointing meal. We got there on the early side on a Sunday evening expecting a wait of up to an hour. There wasn't any wait, which should have clued us in. The service people were the usual attentive and friendly bunch... More

What a bummer! Alas, now that the original owners have sold this place, it has taken a deep dive. What once had wonderful creations from a talented chef is now mediocre fare.....at best. Somehow not being able to cook a simple burger to order qualifies as novices in the kitchen. The signature dishes are not special anymore either. In years... More

We actually went to Kennebunkport to try the place next door to The Ramp. After a terrible experience, we decided to give the Ramp a try, and we are glad we did. We were specifically in search of a lobster roll and clam chowder, both of which were good. We will definitely go back though, because other things on the... More
