My husband and I ate dinner here recently, as we do at least once a year when visiting York. While the ambience and service were wonderful, I was disappointed in the way my filet mignon was prepared. I ordered it medium, and it was well done. Also, the food took quite a while. And, had I not been so hungry,... More

We have visited the Cape Neddick Inn many times over the years, and they have gone through a few owners. Our last visit did not disappoint. First we had fantastic service. Perhaps one of the best waiters I have every had in a restaurant. He was on point for everything. All of the food was wonderful, salads, chowders, shrimp scampi,... More

We had a romantic dinner here on our last night in Maine. The Chop and Spinach salads were excellent. My husband had the Buttermilk Chicken and I had delicious whole lobster, which paired perfectly with a glass of the unoaked Chardonnay. Squash vegetables were seasoned perfectly. Save room for the blueberry pie.

You will need reservations. If you can, reserve the corner Library table . It's very cozy spot. Pretty lights for ambience and delicious dinners and dessert. Staff is very knowledgable and cordial. A must take!!!

On a recomendation from a nice lady at the hotel desk we were staying at we decided to have our 42nd anniversary dinner here. The place looks great inside and out. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. We both ordered bake stuffed lobsters and were VERY disappointed with the entire meal. The stuffing was supposed to be "with shrimp,scallops,and... More

I am so sorry for your unpleasant dining experience at my restaurant – especially on your 42nd anniversary. I spoke with your server regarding your comments and she did indeed remember your visit to the Cape Neddick Inn. She recalls inquiring as to your satisfaction with your meals and received a not so emphatic response, yet not a specific complaint.... More

There were four of us in our party. We all had something different. The dishes we had were prime rib, buttermilk chicken ,prime rib sandwich and a pasta dish. All were excellent. Two of us had a salad and the salads were actually big enough for two. They were very busy and the service was still exceptional. Will definitely go back.

I love everything here. Great food, great ambiance and great service. I have been going to Cape Neddick Inn for 20+ years. The tavern area with the fireplace going will take all your worries away.

Off season, driving north, scouting out a place to eat. Parking lot was full ( a good sign) and we decided to pull in, even though we'd worked all day and weren't "cleaned up" so to speak. We asked to sit in the bar area, for that reason. It was candlelit, dark, and humming with the subdued talk of patrons.... More

Off season on the Maine Coast can be almost IMPOSSIBLE to find an OPEN restaurant. After driving for 45 minutes, FINALLY there was Cape Neddick Inn, RESTAURANT & TAVERN. It was almost 2:00, but they were still serving. We feared we'd simply need to "take the best" offering. HAPPY surprise... the food was well prepared and delicious. Their Fish &... More
